Description: Ventuno is an island restaurant inspired by the frascas of Italy, small farmhouses which opened themselves up to friends and neighbors with wine and homemade food. Executive Chefs Gabriel Frasca and Amanda Lydon, with Chef De Cuisine Andrea Solimeo, delight in imagining Nantucket shellfish, fish and produce in Italian hands. House-cut pasta and simple takes on the bounty of sea and land are complemented by a carefully curated Italian wine list. Drink and eat our entire menu on either dining room floor or bar, or the open-air back bar, with comfortable service and the inviting breeze of the ocean.

This was the first time we've dined at this venue since the old 21 Federal Street. Beautiful surroundings, great service and excellent food. We brought guests, for a total of 11 of us, were seated promptly, and the wait staff could not have been more attentive.

Wonderful and romantic for a couple's weekend. Highly recommended by a family friend and it was even better than we had anticipated. Lighting was soft and not overwhelming. Reservations accepted, but, if I recall, you didn't need a reservation to sit outside. Especially since it was over an hour wait to sit inside. It is a very popular spot, even more so since there was 30 weddings on the island that weekend. Wine was delicious, meat was juicy and tender. When I can afford a boat ticket, I will be back...hungry for more.

Don't miss their specialty....the meatballs!! They are the star of this high end restaurant, although we also loved, loved the risotto and other homemade pastas. The staff was accommodating, albeit a bit snooty, but we could overlook that because the presentation and food preparation were very good. The one recommendation I would make is that Ventuno needs comfortable seating. The chairs are unbearable for a long, leisurely dining experience. Perhaps that is intentional so that patrons won't stay too long, but it was very uncomfortable and disappointing.
And save room for dessert because all the selections are terrific!

Of the restaurants on Nantucket, 40 have earned at least one star from Frommers. We wanted to try 3 different restautants for dinner during our stay, but Ventuno was so great that after reviewing dozens of menus while walking about the town, we decided to go back to Ventuno on night number 3 for an encore. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed choosing this restaurant. The duck is crazy good! And the creamy polenta. And the kale salad and everything else!

This place was great! Great service, good food. A little expensive but worth it. If you do not like something in a dish they will gladly substitute it. Home made fresh pasta everyday!
