Just returned from a 3-day visit to Nantucket. Headed to Fog Island Café @ the suggestion of our innkeeper. It was a cool, windy morning, and the café was cozy & inviting. Service was excellent, and the food was spectacular! Enjoyed a Greek Scramble which came with home fries (made from red bliss potatoes & fried to just the right crispness) & a wonderful homemade muffin (strawberry/cranberry) served warm from the grill. My friend enjoyed an omelet special with the same sides -- just as delicious! We were welcomed by Mark, the owner, who congratulated us on our engagement, which he had heard about from our innkeeper. We enjoyed our meal so much that we headed back the next morning & both ordered their Morning Remedy (eggs scrambled with bacon, scallions, cheese & tomatoes plus a side of home fries, and a grilled pear/strawberry muffin). It certainly was a morning remedy for us and the perfect way to start off our day, as we ended up pedaling our bikes 22 miles around the island on a beautiful, sunny day. Mark visited with us again, thanking us for coming. It is their 20th year in business, so they are obviously doing something right! Our only regret was not being able to eat there a 3rd morning, as our ferry left too early. Definitely plan to return!
