Just returned from a 3-day visit to Nantucket. Had breakfast @ the Fog Island Café @ the suggestion of our innkeeper. It was a cool, windy morning, and the restaurant was cozy & inviting. Service was great, & the food was spectacular! I ordered the Greek Scramble which came with a side order of home fries (made with red bliss potatoes & fried to the perfect crispness) and a homemade cranberry/raspberry muffin, served warm off the grill. My friend had an omelet special, which was equally delicious! Mark, the owner, stopped by to welcome us and congratulate us on our engagement, which he had heard about from our innkeeper. We had such a wonderful meal, that we headed back again the following day. We both ordered the Morning Remedy (eggs scrambled with tomatoes, scallions, cheese & bacon, with home fries & a pear/strawberry muffin on the side). It was certainly a morning remedy for us & the perfect way to start off our day, as we headed off to bike 22 miles around the island on a beautiful, sunny day! Fog Island has been in business for 20 years, so they must be doing something right! Our only regret was not being able to return for a 3rd morning, as our ferry left too early! We will definitely be back!
