great location, at the beginning of main street/end of the docks. we stopped by for sandwiches on 3 gorgeous sunny afternoons this week---we can recommend the italian, the turkey/cran/stuffing, the mulaffala special, and any of the paninis. fast service, very friendly staff......reasonable ($9.00) for a huge sandwich that is easily lunch for two hungry tourists

Got lunch to go from Provisions and it was one of the best BLT's i have ever had. My husband made fun of me because I basically inhaled it!!

The thanksgiving turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry sauce is so good. Also try the curried chicken salad and caprese sandwich- the bread is fabulous!

Just back from another wonderful Nantucket vacation. The first place we stopped after our feet hit the gound was Provisions, a small restaurant, but with a famous bagel I couldn't live without. Wrapped in parchment paper and handed to you warmed up, we can't wait to sink our teeth into it. Sitting outside on the bench under a shade tree we try to make it last, but it doesn't. Words don't do it justice, you'll just have to try it!

I used to own a cafe so I have a clue about how this business should operate in order to keep negative reviews off of TripAdvisor.

1. Make sure your staff is properly trained on how to run an espresso machine. No crema on an espresso screams Amateur Operation!!!!

2. Train your staff not to under fill the cups. This gives you an image of CHEAP.

3. Train your staff to actually make customers feel welcome when they walk in. The crew here, gives the impression that they can't wait to go home.

4. Don't pack the coffee with your bare fingers and don't wipe off spillage off the cup with your apron

Basically you need to fire
