Likes: more like a boutique hotel than hostel, amazing rooms beautiful decor and amazing architecture.  Located 10 min walk from Central Park.  Very secure. Excellent staff. Breakfast very good. Inner courtyard very relaxing

Dislikes : inadequate wifi, needed to go into the town and find a wifi cafe

We stayed at Hostal las Marias for 3 nights in August. After Sunday, we were the only guests left at the hostal perhaps because of the low travel season during Guatemalan winter. We stayed in the suite which was beautiful. Each night we were provided with firewood and each morning we were prepared a fresh breakfast by one of the women on staff. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. We'll be back soon!
Regresaremos pronto!

We were four families traveling to Antigua together. We had a great time, and felt at home. People were really helpful, friendly, willing. All of us loved the hotel and commented how cozy and home-like it is. It´s distribution is very much like Antigua, the plants in the center patio are gorgeus! It is really beautiful, cozy, friendly!

This place is so beautiful if it were any other city you'd probably be paying an entrance fee to see it as a tourist attraction. Seriously gorgeous and the attention to detail is remarkable. Every piece is divine.

The location is about a 10 min walk from the main square which is fine in the daytime. The walk to the main area is great, passing so many beautiful sites including the cemetery which is close by and is really beautiful, if you have time go in and have stroll for 10 mins. the gardens are lovely.

The room was good, small-ish but fine. The beds were ok, the pillows were not great. The shower was good .. if you shower at the right time when you can get lots of hot water (it ran out for me one day and was warm at best) The breakfast was adequate.

All the staff were lovely but the stand out staff member for me was Santiago, a really kind and helpful man. I am sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to him and thank him properly. He really made my stay more enjoyable with his presence.

I would have stayed here indefinitely if the internet worked better. I only moved to another hotel for this reason.

We had the opportunity of staying here during our visit to Guatemala for Holy Week and was the best of the best experienced ever. Clean, quiet and well taking care by everyone who works here..... I don´t remember the name of the guy, but he was really helpful, gave us advice of where to go and what to do and always was wiling to help.

The "hostel" (Much better than that) has a beautiful center garden, fully packed with wallflowers and a fountain. Around this garden, you will have the rooms, I think there are 7-8 rooms. Regarding the roooms, they are confy & small but warm environment. By the morning you will have the typical breakfast. Scrambed eggs and local read beans. Very good price-value relation.

A nice place to sleep for a couple of nights.
