Description: It's hard to describe the quaint charm and unexpected humor embedded in Y Tu Pina Tambien that makes it such a wonderful and comfortable place to spend a morning or afternoon. A menu full of delicious brunch foods, organic salads, homemade sandwiches, great coffee, Mezcal cocktails, unique liquados, advil (on the house!) and more. It's a great place to cure your hangover, study spanish, catch up on emails, listen to great music, and last but not least make a new friend. The place attracts a great, eclectic local crowd and if you stop by you're bound to find yourself becoming part of the Pina family.

Since it's relaunch a few months ago, Y tu Piña También has set itself apart from the rest of the breakfast joints in Antigua. With a very friendly staff and excellent cooking, the whole restaurant is filled with the great music and great people to hang around with. During the week they have a great selection of breakfasts and sandwiches to keep you going while you work. On the weekends their brunches are a very popular hangover cure. They also have pizza 7 every day, so you really can't go wrong.

There are many coffee bar/hangout gems in Antigua, but this one is truly one of a kind. Located a few drunken (or, more appropriately, hungover) steps from Cafe No Se, Y Tu Piña También is the favorite place to recover from one too many Ilegal Mezcals from the night before. The vibe is relaxed, the staff friendly, and the food delicious and amusing (just check out the "Desayuno Erecto" if you don't believe me!). Relive your experiences from the night before with the same people who helped enable your hangover in the first place and recover your strength with fantastic coffee or some hair of the dog that bit you, like an Ilegal Maria or Ilegal Sunrise - served by the pitcher if you're really feeling rough! Definitely an iconic joint, and my favorite place in Antigua by far.

This place saved my weekend. I woke up Sunday morning and decided to spend the day in bed, but eventually I got hungry enough to stumble into the corner restaurant with the pineablle. Forty minutes later I was good to go. Even hiked the volcano next door.

Long story short, this place is a hidden gem. Food is great and staff is even better. I recommend it 100%.

Safe travels!

Lots of coffee bars in Antigua. This one sets its self apart with its new menu. Hangover cocktails that have chicken on a stick rather than umbrellas.

I highly recommend this place for a tasty breakfast in an eclectic atmosphere.

Let's see, I've tried the [--] McMuffin, "Grilled Cheesus" sandwich and the pancakes.

Bloody Maria's - made with vodka or mescal - are made to order and delicious! I prefer the mezcal Marias because the hint of smokiness imparted by the mezcal is complements items on the menu very well.

Y Tu Piña Tambien is also dog-friendly and the crowd is young and fun. Check it out!
