We loved staying here, and wish we could have stayed longer. The garden is simply amazing with a gorgeous landscape and the dramatic backdrop of Volcan Aqua. We had several excellent meals in the outdoor restaurant overlooking the gardens. The staff was very hospitable and accommodating. Looking forward to our return!

Room Tip: We stayed in Casita 1, which was great. Beautifully decorated with a nice view of the Volcano from t...

OMG - a beautiful hotel in Antigua, Guatemala. We booked two garden rooms for our family and were not disappointed at alll. The rooms were spacious, very clean and very comfortable with beautiful bathrooms - decent power showers and plenty of hot water. The rooms had a lovely 'porch' area with seating overlooking the gardens. The swimming pool was very pretty although the water was too cold to swim in. The gardens and grounds of Quinta de Las Flores are beautiful with many interesting features and lovely flowers and plants so perfectly planted that there was colour everywhere - quite spectacular. Staff at the hotel were lovely and it was very easy to get good service by the pool or at our rooms - just telephone the restaurant. We had fab breakfasts and good evening meals at the hotel. We loved loved loved our peaceful and relaxing stay in this hotel. It was very convenient and easy to walk into town from here but the whole ambience of the hotel was so tranquil that stepping outside of this delightful hotel felt like stepping into a different world. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Antigua, Guatemala. If ever we were back in the area we would without doubt book early and stay again.

We really liked Quinta de las Flores. From the moment we drove through the gates we felt that we were in a beautiful and secluded world. The gardens were, in the words of our driver, "spectacular."
It was very easy to be there. We ordered room service every morning and some evenings (the person who took the orders over the phone said that she didn't speak English, but her ability to piece together our order from my poor Spanish showed that she spoke more than she thought), stocked our casita fridge beers and waters from the restaurant at minimal cost, had fires in the fireplace every night, watched humming birds and butterflies in the garden outside our window, asked the front desk to get us taxis and recommend cooking classes, etc. I've almost never had an easier hotel stay.
The only hesitations I have about the hotel are location and somewhat thin walls. The hotel is located a bit from the city center. It's not a bad walk if you are in the mood for a walk, and the rewards of the walk are finding little bakeries, woodworking shops, and lesser known churches on the way. However, Antigua is a city of cobblestone streets, and walking there will bother your feet in ways that you don't expect, if you aren't used to cobblestones. A lot of walking there can lead to surprisingly painful feet. Alternating walking and taking a taxi helped keep the foot pain minimal.
The only criticism I have about the hotel is the somewhat thin walls. You will be able to hear your neighbors in the upstairs bedrooms if they are talking, even if they aren't being loud. I was able to effectively mask the noise (of different groups of neighbors--we were there for 4 nights) with a combination of a white noise app. on my phone and earplugs.
I would definitely stay at Quinta de las Flores again, and would use it for an extended stay if I had a reason to be in Antigua for a longer time. The two negatives were easily outweighed by the overwhelming positives.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet location.

Everything about our stay was positive. The grounds were manicured perfectly, the restaurant wait staff and food were great, and our room was large and well-furnished. A little distance from downtown Antigua, but gave a little different view of the city and its people from the tourist center of town.

Beautiful Gardens great staff too, the Casitas (Little Houses) were absolutely perfect for families. Serene location for relaxation and good sleep with a decent pool. As long as you dont mind a bit of a walk into town (or get Taxi) then this is a great choice.

Room Tip: The Casitas (Little houses) are great for families

This was not my first visit to Antigua and we usually stay closer to the square but since I was traveling with my son I thought we might enjoy a pool and a little more space. The property is beautiful and even has a playground close to the well maintained pool. We were a group of four and stayed in a casita which had even more space then I expected.Although it was easy to walk or catch a tuk tuk into town we enjoyed a dinner and breakfast at the hotel. They serve the hot chocolate in adorable little owl mugs which we were able to purchase at the gift shop.. A fun gift to bring home.

What a hidden gem. We stayed here for 4 nights in habitacion 14 which was absolutely wonderful. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous. It was so peaceful relaxing on the porch of our room or in the hammock by the pool. We basically walked everywhere in the city of Antigua from here. The staff was very helpful. Restaurant was fine. Nice that they have an internet room or we were able to get wifi on our phones close to the office. I would definitely stay here again.
