“I must have missed something!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2014

Seemed to be in ruins. No entry that we could find. Square in front very appealing...Parque La Union with washing facilities. If you're lucky like us, you'll see a woman actually doing her laundry!

“beautiful garden being well maintained inside the ruins”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 December 2013

Ruins are huge, and although the entrance fee is higher than that of the former cathedral, you see that the money is being well spent for the garden and the maintenance of the ruins (church being covered, some walls being built to enforce the structure etc.).

“Easily overlooked so dont be disappointed”

Often overlooked by the more magnificent churches and cathedrals this is a hidden gem. Worth having a guide ti explain the history and the way the natural disasters affected the convent

“do not miss this”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2013

We went through lots of ruins in Antigua- but hearing our guide sing in the basement area was a special moment. Do not miss this site.

“Ruins, ruins, ruins...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 September 2013

Located just one minute from San Francisco, ruins of a small convent. A very quick visit will be sufficient but worth the look. At some point one can get overloaded on ruins but this is the Antigua's one of main attractions.
