“Great textile collection”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Nim Po't has one of the most extensive textile collections for sale in all of Guatemala. Everything is beautifully displayed and labeled so that you know what you are looking at while shopping. Prices are great and you don't have to travel the country to find textiles from all areas. It's a great place to start and end your trip to Guatemala if handmade textiles are on your list.

“Great shopping”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

This is a really nice place to shop. You can enjoy your time and just look around. All prices are marked and the quality is better than on the street. Perfect for people who don't enjoy bargaining. I was actually surprised how good the prices were. Plus some goofy cut outs to take souvenir pics!

“Huge selection of tourist souveniers”
Reviewed 10 February 2014

We found this place when we had lunch at Frida's Restaurant...a good place to start your hunt for typical souvenirs. You can get an idea of prices so when you go to local markets you can bargain with some knowledge of prices. They have the biggest selections of T-shirts we found and good textiles. It is big and a bit overwhelming, but a really good place to start looking.

“not just textiles!”
Reviewed 21 November 2013

Don't let the name fool you - there are loads of items handmade in Guatemala, and many are not textiles. They have the most fabulous mask collection I have ever seen, as well as hundreds of religious statues made in the folk art style. I was at the market earlier in the day, and the prices there, even after haggling, are not as good as what you can get at the Nim Po't. The staff are extremely courteous and will pack items either for shipment or for you to take with you. This was my favorite stop in Antigua. Don't miss it.

“Forget almost all the other stores.”
Reviewed 16 July 2013

This place is wonderful. Prices are fair, quality is excellent and everyone is helpful. You feel like you are buying real products from local vendors. Not things made in other countries with labels stuck on them.I bought childrens' toys, childrens' clothes, wood saints/santos, coffee, chocolate, table cloths, table runners, scarfs and a lambs wool quilt. You need to look closely at things because some products are very high quality and some are inexpensive tourist items- prices between the two are sometimes very similar. Then to make my purchase even more impressive was given 10% off for paying in cash. I discovered this place after going to many stores and being shocked by the high prices and poor quality. Also compared to the mercado/artists market this place is much better.
