“Food is okay, the atmosphere is amazing!”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

The food is good compared to the general food in Guatemala, but the food does taste a lot better here because of the atmosphere and the surroundings. The place is small but this way you get to know the people around you. I will definitely recommend this place to everybody who is going to Antigua!

“Fantastic, Friendly Local Place”
Reviewed 1 August 2014 via mobile

We were after somewhere authentic and local. Wow, this place gets it spot on.
We were given such a warm welcome and invited to grab a table up the ladder/stairs to the first floor. Only 3-4 tables there, so very cosy. The beer was ice cold, the wine was lovely, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic. Brilliant value too.
We would have gone back there, but had to leave the following morning.
If you're after somewhere rustic, friendly and laid-back, I can't recommend this place enough.

“Awesome!”
Reviewed 19 July 2014

I met friends at this locally owned neighborhood style dive. It is chic in its ramshackleness and its menu is to die for! I was amazed at the food and the price can't be beat!

It's a cool crowd too!

“Funky decor, fabulous staff, yummy food!”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Porque No? is not for everyone. If your taste runs to the Ritz Carlton, it's probably not a good choice for you.

If you're adventuresome, appreciate something a little out of the ordinary, then by all means walk a few blocks to Porque No? It's located in a residential neighborhood in the south part of Antigua, off the beaten tourist track of Parque Central-area restaurants. Be aware: they're only open for dinner and there is no sign.

It's a small, funky space, more bar than restaurant, with a unique clientele and the nicest, friendliest owners, Carlos the chef and Carolina, who runs the front of house.

The food is good, prices reasonable, and by the time you leave you will have made new friends. It's just that kind of place! The menu is fairly simple and straightforward. Portions are ample.

“Great place to eat”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

Porque no? Cafe is really unique with its inside decorations of bottles hanging from the roof and more and that they allow customers to write on basically everything. The food is delicious, while a very small menu we had the burrito and chicken breast, both were served fast and fresh. The servers are the friendliest people and make you feel very welcome. Drinks are great, dark beer on tap is really good. Overall great food with generous servings, cheap prices and a very unique place to eat in Antigua.

Also it is quite a small place and fills up very quickly, we got there at 730 p.m and got a table within 5 minutes but people turned up shortly after us and it turned into a 20 minute wait,
