Really sad but this museum was much too expensive for anyone to visit who wasn't a tourist, and probably even then, only a foreign tourist. As a result it was empty for all the time we were there. Amazingly the ticket had the old price of 50 kopeks on it (just a few pence). I forget how much we were charged but for Ukraine it was A LOT!
The museum itself is in an interesting building with varied exhibits and some English translations. Its actually worth the visit! There are a couple of babooshkas scattered around who work there - one was hugely helpful, the other knew absolutely nothing and ignored us even though we were the only customers (possibly all day!)
So ... a reasonable archaelogical museum with some interesting artefacts from the dawn of time, but terribly overpriced to the citizens of Odessa.
