“Modern and glass”
Reviewed 18 March 2013

The port is modern and its part for passengers must be visited by everyone who walks in Odessa. The glass building and the ugly statue of a child and the statue of the seaman's wife.. this looks a bit from different styles.. but one should see that. The best place to see all these together is from Potyomkin's steps.

“A very busy place to see”
Reviewed 12 March 2013 via mobile

The harbour was full of interest, especially during the week. Ships berthed, cranes loading and unloading goods, freight trains arriving and departing from the sidings and all the signs of a busy thriving port. At the extreme end of the harbour is the Odessa Hotel, a bluish, bland high rise building but with a magnificent view of the coastline and looking inland the old town of Odessa. There were many people `promenading` here taking in a visit to the steps as well as the harbour. From the main street there are trolleybuses and marshrutky which can take you back to the center if you don`t want to trundle back up the steps. The harbour is well worth seeing.

The best view is from the park above the busy harbour. It is a great walk and you will get nice pictures.

Reviewed 16 February 2013

here if you lucky enough to have a ship docking, is a nice place to people watch, also, sometimes you will see lots of just married couples wishing each other good luck, having their toast, showing their big beautiful wedding dresses and is a nice place for photo shooting!! so you will love it
