Comparing to other local Croatian restaurants in the area, Sperun is a restaurant with very comfortable indoor dining room to enjoy your dinner. Good decor, spaceful with table cloth.

We had grilled sea bass, squid and vegetables for two people. The seafood was very fresh. The vegetables were crispy. The fish just cooked right and still a litte bit pink at the bone. The wine recommended by the waiter was very good. Only costed US $60 for two people. Great value.

If you visit the restaurant, ask for the inside dining area. You will enjoy your dinner than the front dining room.

Šperun is an Ok restaurant, its quite cheap in price compared to other restaurants in split!
It was not a special experience honestly, actually i ended up eating the tiny skinny fried shrimps with lots of difficulty and the seabass with olive, as yummy as it might sound, was tasteless!

Me and my partner both had sirloin steak which comes with a choice of boiled or grilled vegetables. It was fantastic... Perfectly cooked and efficient service.. Can really not fault this place. We did go at a quiet time of day so am unsure about atmosphere but walking past later it looked great.

We ate dinner at Sperun based on Rick Steves' guide book. The restaurant has several tables outside and about the same inside. Before I ordered, I asked the owner about the pasta frutti de mare wanting to know if it came in a cream sauce or not. He held his hand over his heart as if insulted and stated that he had a Meditteranean kitchen, not continental, and that he cooked with garlic and olive oil. That is what I wanted to hear, so I ordered that and my wife ordered Lasagna. Well, when our meals arrived guess what, my wife's lasagna came swimming in cream sauce. So much for being a Mediteranean restaurant. The meals were good, but nothing to rave about. WE had better during our two weeks in Croatia.

The place is crowded - had to wait in a queue to get in there. It was absolutely worth it - the service is very talkative and they constantly joke with you. Fish and pasta was simply amazing - this was one of the best meals we've had in Croatia.
