We stayed one night, our first in Croatia and were warmly welcomed by the staff and the owners of the hotel. Our room was spacious and modern and yet with the exposed palace stone walls. Our room overlooked the main historic square below and was ideal to experience the atmosphere of this great city. The staff were very helpful and recommended a great local restaurant nearby for dinner. We would definately visit again.

A bad experience in Split. Overpriced, waited 4.5 hours for our room while we had been assured multiple times it would be ready within 1/2 hour, constant loud conversation emanating into the room from the reception area, meagre and mediocre breakfast and surly staff. Overall greatly detracted from the appreciation of the city.

I had a great stay in a beautiful city. The staff was helpfull and the rooms were beautiful. The hotel is located in the very center of split in the main meeting square. I was able to be anywhere in the palace within a 5 minute walk.

Split is extremely hot and air conditioning is critical. Unfortunately after repeated attempts to explain that only the "fan" worked, they insisted my AC was working. This was really frustrating as the temperature in my room never changed.

At first I thought they were trying to be response saying - you can have any other room, I will buy a new air conditioner on the spot, or I will give you a refund. Now that I am near leaving they are saying - there are no other rooms, yeah yeah yeah on the refund and your AC is working it's your problem.

Honestly, this is not even a 3 star establishment.

Room Tip: Do not take room 301. We believe that only room 302 has functioning air conditioning - we had multip...

Only stayed one night, but managed to enjoy the hotel's convenient location & offerings. We did not have a room pre-booked, but had been researching prices prior to arrival. Tina was nice enough to offer a price match on the lowest quote we saw online, which was a nice gesture.

Pros:
- clean, spacious, modern decor, friendly staff, close to everything, free wi-fi, free breakfast

Cons:
- no elevators, can get noisy at night because of nearby bars & restos

Hard to find, but once you do it's a great location. Close to all major sites. Drove from Zadar so long term cheap parking nearby was hard to find. 6 flights of stairs to 3rd floor was a pain with luggage after walking with it for 15 minutes from the parking spot, and every evening. Rooms were large, modern and well appointed. Wifi didn't work in rooms or hotel at all had to use cafe next door, some ongoing upgrades to rooms in progress may have been the cause. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental not buffet nor hot foods. Quiet room, comfortable bed. Overall for the price not too bad, will be great once they finish and get everything operational. Oh and we only stayed 1 night, in hindsight should have stayed 2 as Split is much nicer than Dubrovnik.

We only had 1 night in Split but wished we had more. The hotel wasn't quite finished renovations, so we were upgraded to a luxury room, and luxury it was. Huge, open room with adjoining large bathroom and big shower, great views and the most comfortable bed you can imagine. There's not enough i can say how fantastic this place was. Staff were very friendly and helpful and even brought breakfast to our room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Split, you would be hard pressed to find anything better!

Room Tip: Only saw luxury room, but was amazing, great views over square.
