To give a little preface: This trip was taken with my fiance at the end of May. We both travel a good amount and have stayed in a wide variety of hotels/resorts all over the world. Our trip was for 10 nights with our itinerary including Dubrovnik (Amoret Apartments), Kocula (Old Town Apartments) and Split (Hotel Luxe). All of these hotels are covered pretty well on these sites, so I’m just going to highlight the main pros, cons and tips.

Pros
- Very chic and modern hotel. The rooms all had speakers throughout and the clear-wall shower was very cool.
- The hotel and rooms were very clean.
- The shower was functional and never ran out of hot water (like the other places we visited on our trip in Croatia).
- Downstairs wellness center has a jacuzzi room that was great. It seemed like a private Jacuzzi since it didn’t seem like anyone else except us used it.
- The breakfast was delicious and included top-end food (including fish).
- The location was very central – dead center between the beach’s and the old-town center area.
- On our last day, we had to leave very early at 5am and the hotel staff went out of their way to make us a bagged lunch for our flight home.
- The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cons
- Not a true queen-sized bed (just 2 beds pushed together).
- Sea view was far-from it. You can only see a small spot of the sea over the other buildings.

Tips
- Ask for a room on a higher floor – you’ll have a bigger chance of having ocean view.
- There is a supermarket a block away across the road. You can use it to stock up on snacks.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor – you’ll have a bigger chance of having ocean view.

The room is smallish but clean, quiet, and comfortable. A/c and wifi work just fine. Staff are very, very good! Parking lot for the hotel is nearby. Breakfast is not lavish but quite adequate. The Diocletian place is about two short blocks away, an easy walk. Close to the Riva and ferry lines. Overall, we loved our stay and recommend it highly.

We normally stay in B&B's, but opted for this as it was close to the center of town. Glad we chose it, as it was funky and contemporary and the staff very young, hip and friendly. Gave us good advise, laughed with us when we dragged in late at night and told us what was happening. Good location within walking distance to everything and with it's own private parking lot, got in and out of town with no fuss. Only complaint was dragging our gear up a set of steps and around the corner from the car park to the front entrance, which has to pull up parking.

Room Tip: I think they all would be pretty good, but to avoid road noise, perhaps request a higher up room.

We wanted to stay at the vestibule hotel, but it was already booked out, so chose the Lux based on trip adviser reviews. So we were suitably pre-warned about the colorful decor - not completely to my taste, but a bit of fun. The position of this hotel would be hard to beat, it is so close to everything you want to see and a quick walk home at the end of a tiring day on your feet! The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient and the rooms, while not big, are very light and airy, with a lovely outlook. The breakfast was fine - we weren't offered any cooked breakfast, so I don't know if it exists; however the bread was deliciously fresh and the tea hot! My only complaint is that the water pressure and heat in the showers is not great and that like many Croatian hotels, there is no coffee /tea making facility in the room. (regent esplanade in zagreb did have a coffee machine in the room, but that seems to be an exception in Croatia). Our stay has been pleasant, however I'm not sure whether I would recommend the hotel to others or not, as I don't know anything much about the other hotels in the area, and the hotel didn't wow me enough to call it a must. But overall, it was fine

Room Tip: Maybe book a suite, as the rooms are a little tight. We couldn't book one, as they were unavail...

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Everything is very modern and clean. Our room had a small balcony with a nice view of the port, and was averaged sized for Europe. The one weird thing was the glass wall between the shower and the bedroom. Luckly they had a curtain to pull across the wall, as I was there with a friend, not boyfriend! The breakfast was great, with a good selection of grilled veggies, cheeses, breads, fruit, eggs, etc. Location is perfect, between the beach and palace. I would stay here again!

We picked this hotel due to the reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The staff on hand were very friendly and helpful. When we first arrived we asked for recommendations for places to eat and they gave us several good choices. I found they did a good job of looking after us, for example after having spent a few days there we found a free bottle of wine in our room. I really got the feeling that they took joy in making their guest comfortable and to me that is a good sign in a hotel.

The breakfast buffet was good and stocked with a variety of items. There were fruit, veggies, cold meat, eggs, bacon, and sausages. So pretty much something for everyone. There was also juice, water, and a coffee machine that you could choose your type of coffee.

The hotel was clean and looked to be well looked after. Our room was large and had a nice view of the sea. One thing that is a bit odd is the window between bedroom and the bathroom. It didn't bother us but it was different from other places that we stayed. Also they had a good selection of tv stations. We weren't really there to watch tv but it was nice to relax before going to bed and catch something in English. The tv also had channels in French, German, Italian, and of course Croatian.

We really like the location of the hotel. Its not dead centre of the attractions so it is a bit quieter at night, but it is still close to everything. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the Riva or the bus station so it is easy to get around from there. There is still a bit of noise from the habour and train station but it never kept us awake.

We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Split.

Room Tip: The top floor has the best view.

We did an unplanned stop i Split and booked our stay through via hotels.com at an internet cafe. Just 10 minutes later we showed up. Friendly and welcoming staff. Eager to help us with any of our matters. We were upgraded to a room with seaview. Of course this also affects the rating. But excluding that I can honestly say that that it was a pleasant stay. The staff seemed to enjoy giving service in a natural way. Something that I believe is hard to find today. The room was clean, functional and modern. A great place for a weekend.
