“Don't Miss The Mussels, They're Awesome!”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Went here just randomly for an early lunch (the waiter was surprised as it seems not be a customary in Split for someone to have an early lunch in a restaurant). Decided to try their octopus salad and mussels.

The octopus was served very well, despite the way it was combined as a salad was quite mediocre for me (think it's just the Dalmatian way of octopus salad, still good though!). However, the mussels were super delish! Quality of the mussels itself was so good, fresh and they also cooked it very well. Superbes!

“This should be no1 on trip advisor!”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

We came here after checking trip advisor and Wow! What a fantastic restaurant! We ate here both times we visited Split! Our waiter was attentive and friendly and also offered some good tips of things to do in Split as well.

At the recommendation of both the waiter and trip advisor we opted for the fish platter- surpassed our expectation! Amazing fresh fish simply served, delicious!! Highly recommend! Staying on Brac, I am in no doubt we would have visited Split just for the restaurant! Completely worth it and a wonderful experience!

A little tricky to find if just looking for the street name, so- go out of the old town along the promenade towards the church and the look out point, keep going straight and you'll come to a fork, take the right fork and the restaurant runs along the wall, you will not be disappointed!!!

“An absolute delight - every bit as good as TripAdvisor said it would be ;-)”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

We're avid TripAdvisor followers and worked our way down the top restaurants on the list over our two days in Split. We popped by early on the first night we arrived and as expected Marjan was already completely booked for the evening, but we easily got our name in for the next night. We came back super excited and were not at all disappointed. Our server was great - a bit flustered because they were so busy (he let us know they'd already turned away over 40 people by 8pm!) but we were not at all in a hurry an didn't mind waiting (it was absolutely worth it.) Preparation-wise they do exactly what they should: pick the best ingredients and get out of their way! Fish is fantastically fresh, veggies are straight from the central market, and everything is done in just a bit of olive oil & salt. Simple, perfect. We split a grilled sea bass & a pasta - loved both (the pasta even more for me!) Pro-tips: 1) make a reservation at least one night before (we tried calling and the number didn't seem to work, best to walk in early) and 2) both white wines by the glass were "just-ok" - I'd say if you want to really get the most out of your dining experience go big and split a bottle.

“Good for seafood”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We had grilled squid and fish, and both were cooked to perfection. They were very fresh and tasted just like the seafood I had growing up on a tropical island. The server was very courteous and friendly, it made the meal even more pleasant. A reservation is recommended for after 7:00 since there are not too many tables. Good place to stop for dinner after climbing Marjan Hill for a view of the city.

“The best Seafood Restaurant in Split!”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

We happened to randomnly walk by this nice restaurant located on the path to the Marjan. We were left surprised by the excellent service and great seafood. By the suggestion of the server, we had the mixed fish that included grilled sea bass, sea bream, shrimps and hake which were all the best we had during our stay at Split.

After coming back to our hotel we checked Tripadvisor and were not surprised to see the great reviews it had received in tripadvisor. Completely recommend it!

Tip: If coming to dinner later (20:00 - ) I recommend you to reserve a table as it will be almost impossible to get a table then, at least in the small outside seating area.
