“Excellent Staff!”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

Palace Judita is an outstanding hotel in a great location in Split with nice-sized, well-appointed comfortable rooms. That alone would be worthy of 5 stars, but the friendliness of the staff and quality of their service makes we wish there was an even higher rating. Marija was an excellent hostess and gave us outstanding restaurant recommendations. Andrija is the star of the show from breakfast to the end of the night, making killer omelettes for breakfast and making guests laugh during all interactions. Be sure to coordinate with the hotel to get personal popemobile transportation to and from your arrival/departure locations. Andrija even offered to pick us back up at the ferry when we returned to Split, even though we were just stopping to pick up a rental car and weren't going to stay with them.

Room Tip: Even though most (if not all) rooms are generally close to the breakfast area, we hardly heard any n...

We booked the room with balcony which perfect for a drink in the afternoon/evening; can definitely recommend the house wine. Room spotlessly clean and kept so throughout our stay. Breakfast was very nice.

I'll agree with everybody else, the staff are what make the hotel special.

We had the massage woman round one evening (card in the room advertising her massages) - excellent and definitely to be recommended.

The bar area is fab for people watching.

All in all, we absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night break in Split and at the Judita Palace.

We have just completed our trip of Croatia. Our stay at the Judita Palace in Split, was truly memorable. One of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere in the world. It is a boutique hotel perfectly situated in the town square of the old city. The rooms are delightful, and the attention to detail was impressive. Staff are excellent, so friendly, nothing is a problem. They become like friends very quickly. Don't stay anywhere else!

We traveled in Croatia with dear friends for 15 days from 4/23-5/7. The Judita Palace was the most memorable of our accommodations. It is a lovely boutique hotel in a great location. The rooms were very comfortable, well appointed and quiet despite being right off the charming town square. We are well traveled and have never before encountered the level of service offered by the staff of this hotel. Marija, the beautiful and informative manager made sure that our every need was met. Since we were staying 3 nights she gave us a Split card which offered reduced admissions to museums. This was greatly appreciated. Ante cheerfully ran us about town in a small cart - he's an excellent driver! And Andrija treated us to wonderful breakfasts and his delightful personality. When we left after 3 days (wish that we could have stayed longer) we felt like family. If you are visiting Split book yourself a room at the Judita Palace. You will be glad you did!

Room Tip: The rooms with views of the town square are charming.

The staff at the Judita Palace are probably the friendliest, funniest and most helpful I have ever experienced at a hotel. Andrija and Maria are simply unique! The hotel is located in the heart of the old city, right outside the palace, and everything is within easy walking distance. The room was lovely, with direct access to a private courtyard and breakfast was the best we had on our two week trip through Bosnia and Croatia. Absolutely superb!

A truly lovely boutique hotel right on the square in the middle of the old town. Easy to rome around on foot explore the cafés, restaurants, waterfront and palace. Don't worry about the logistics just book and the fabulous staff will take care of it all for you. The room was spacious and elegantly decorated with some charming touches. We have travelled extensively and this has got to be one of our best stays ever. The accommodation is good but the staff are what makes this place so great - accommodating, friendly and at times highly amusing (thanks Andrea) I know I have misspelt it but I tried my best. Thankyou Marija and all you wonderful staff who made our stay so very memorable.
PS. Get a new toaster.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms overlook the square but probably the first floor would be easiest. Windows are...

We stayed in 5 hotels in Croatia- while we like them all- and rated them all as excellent- This was by far our favorite!
When we arrived by ferry from Hvar, they were waiting for us with the golf cart and quickly took us and our luggage to the hotel. Though our room wasn't ready yet (it was only 9 a.m.) they told us they would work on it as soon as it was available, and gave us a handy map with places identified for us to walk to and explore. They also gave us a free Split card- as we would be there 3 nights- which gave us free or reduced admission to many attractions.
When we got into the room we were just delighted- large and airy with stone walls and a view overlooking the People's square. The safe was 400 years old set in the wall with a large key to open- no electronic codes here! There were chocolates and cookies and tea in the room to welcome us- and a bottle of wine on our last day.
With the windows open, there was some plaza noise, but we enjoyed that- especially enjoyed one rainy night when some traditional Dalmatian a cappella singers took advantage of the overhang from a building on the square to stay dry, and sang several Dalmatian melodies-we could hear laying in bed- just lovely!
Staff was friendly and helpful- responding to every need and request promptly and cheerfully- not that we had many requests- as everything was great to start with!
