“Very Comfortable and Great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Really enjoyed our stay here (actually stayed twice with trip to Hvar in between). Within walking distance of the Riva, Diocletian's palace, and the port, so you can do day trips if you want. Great restaurants nearby and lots of things to see. Our 5th trip to Split and still enjoy it.

Room was great, (read Kallander review, no need in me duplicating).

Only downside is parking if you have a car. Niksa(sp?) was great about helping us find a place, but just be aware that you may need to park and walk. Of course this is a problem for anywhere in the area.

Room Tip: Penthouse suite is great if you want to sit on your own private deck with great view.

It will be hard to say something new to say about this wonderful B&B that havn't already been told but let's give it a try. We booked directly with Niksa who is the owner and also a very cool guy .
We asked if he could arrange airport pick-up and so did he, his brother came and got us.
There are 5 rooms in total all nicely decorate . We had booked the penthouse apartment which had a large bedroom , a living room with cooking facilities and everything you need in a kitchen .
There were chairs and tables. There was a LED TV that had good range of channels .
Refrigerator and freezer , a wonderful bed to sleep in and a sufficiently large bathroom with a very good shower.

The best thing about The Penthouse apartment is the huge terrace belonging to the apartment.
Here there is access to chairs, tables and even a telescope for those who are interested. Here we spent much of our time to enjoy some snacks and even a couple of bottles of wine. A wonderful view over the bay of Split and the old city.

On the ground floor there is access to toilets , communal breakfast table , computer and TV.

The price was very good in my opinion . The breakfast was simple but enough for the both of us .
Location is perfect, close to cozy backstreet restaurants and walking distance to the city center .
Would certainly go back to Split just to enjoy Niksa company and his wonderful villa.

Room Tip: The Penthouse Apartment for Sure

It was a little bit hard to find the place at first place using our car navigation, but after we got there, we were glad it was quite near to the main castle city (about 5 minute walking distance) and in a nice shape. The owner was quite nice and easy going with great English communication skills. She seemed busy with her baby yet was so kind enough taking her time out to welcome us in spite of our unexpected early arrival. At a reasonable rate, in a great location and with a nice host, St. Luck was my great choice I made in Croatia! =)

Room Tip: You have to be lucky like us if you drive because you need to park in public area.

We stayed for two nights as part of our Easter holiday 2014 in Croatia. I and my husband greatly enjoyed staying in this place. Mr Niksa, the owner of the apartment welcomed us like a relative! We had a very comfortable stay, ou room was on the second floor.. I highly reccomend this place. It's near to the town center and there are very good restaurants near his place that serves excellent seafood!

Others have commented on Niksa, St. Luke's fabulous host. St. Luke's is Niksa's complete labor of love, and he has done a fantastic job renovating an old building to form a luxurious little hotel. Niksa lays out snacks, breakfast food, wine, coffee, etc., for his guests to partake off as they wish. The rooms are extremely well appointed, comfortable, and the location is primo. We stayed in the penthouse, with a deck facing the sea. Amazing. I would never stay anywhere else in Split.

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful but the penthouse is amazing.

We stay in St Luke for 2 nights and I wish we can stay longer. What a special place. Beautiful surrounding, exceptional location and a fantastic host. the old place was transformed into a modern ,extremely comfortable place with the green concept in mind. i read the previous reviews (based on which we choose the place) and I agree whole hearted with all the compliments for the place and the host. As first to come we had a review of the whole place in order to choose the room. The top apartment, more expensive is fantastic and to top it of the roof top terase is with a fantastic view of the city and the water. we select a 1st floor room and we were very happy. The big surprise was the kitchen/dinning room at the level floor that was open from 7am to 8 pm and staff with all kind of free goodies for breakfast and /or light lunch. Bowls of fruits, cookies, coffee, teas, juices and on the first day with all new guests in place Niksa brought a big fresh fig cake. Extra were bottle of wine to drink at your pleasure. The kitchen was fully stocked and could be used, the room was full of books and info. Niksa is the best host and was trying to be away as to not disturb the guests (he does not leave on the premises), but what a treat if you can listen to him and his stories....
Niksa was waiting for us at an arrange point to help us with locating easy the house and help with the luggage.
The place was so homey and nice that it was at a tough competition with the beautify city of Split. The day we were living we had rain in the morning and I felt relief to have a "reason" to spend more time with a cup of expressso in the nice and warm kitchen/dinning chatting with the other 2 couples and Niksa. Note: You can keep your luggage there if you have a late departure.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. The 1st floor room on the left is slightly bigger.

This is an absolute gem of a place, and Niksa is a great host and a proper character.

The location is superb, a 5 minute walk from the Diocletian Palace and on the doorstep of most of the top rated restaurants in Split. The renovation of the property is stunning, with no expense spared on quality furnishings, very very tasteful and it's like being at home (but better!). The club room downstairs is a great addition for breakfast, drinks, coffee etc. Niksa basically gives you the run of the place and practically instructs you to help yourself to his wine....and the Plavac Mali is a lovely drop!

You will need to pay cash (no cards) as it the case in many other places in Split, and if you can't handle a couple of flights of stairs this place isn't for you, though this is made clear when you book.

Seriously, don't hesitate to book this place, it is the absolute business and great value. We had 2 nights here at the start of our holiday and 1 night at the end and would 100% stay here again.
