Stayed at Radisson resort for one night on the way to Hvar. Good points: nice design, very comfortable bed, decent restaurant and breakfast buffet. Beach club is quite good and members of staff are extremely helpful. Bad points: long walk to the beach, construction next door and a long way from a town centre, not even a walking distance.

Booked one of the cheap rooms. My room was OK, not great, but had the only balcony with a view blocked by a palm tree and the toilet seat and shower knobs were broken.
The rest of the hotel was really nice though and worth it for the price I paid. The beach area, though a little walk away, was great. Plenty of seating and good service from the bar. Most extensive breakfast buffet I've seen at a hotel in Europe. Plus you can eat it with a nice sea view.
It is walkable to the city, but it's a good hike away. Ended up talking a taxi back.

We splurged and treated ourselves to a decent hotel for one night prior to embarking on a week of sailing along the coast of Croatia. This hotel lived up to our expectations and we had a very relaxing stay. Our room was modern and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The air conditioning was fully functional and at a nice temperature, and the shower was spacious and with enough room for two. The pool was lovely and cool, and the bar had a good selection of drinks. The included breakfast was great, the standard selection as well as some nice pastries and Mediterranean antipasto items. The free wi-fi was a fantastic plus too.

Overall we had a great stay and would recommend it to others.

We had a three-day conference here, with most of the 40+ delegates also staying at the hotel. The rooms were very modern and well-designed, with all required amenities. Breakfast and Wi-Fi were included, always good for business travellers. We used the largest meeting room, and all our requests regarding set-up and configuration were met. There were a few issues, but they were resolved quickly.
The catering for the lunches and coffee breaks was excellent, and the buffet for the lunches very appetising with plenty of choices for everybody. All of the staff I dealt with were very helpful and happy to assist with anything that was needed. Special thanks to Katarina for her professionalism and patience with every aspect of organising the conference, from the initial enquiry through to the end.
The old town of Split is not within walking distance, but if you want an evening there, it's a ten-minute cab ride away, and the hotel always has taxis available out the front. I would not hesitate to recommend the Radisson Blu for business meetings or a personal weekend away. Your only risk is delegates disappearing to the nearby beach!

The Raddisson Blu in Split is an excellent hotel. The rooms are modern and spacious with a good sized balconey (we had sea views). The hotel has exceptional facilities including a large spa (with a thermal zone - sauna, steam, plunge pools etc.... that are free for guests to use), an indoor pool, outdoor pool and a well maintained beach with beach bar and restaurant. Breakfast was good with variety to suit every taste - the food was fresh, well presented and good quality. The service in general was very good both on the front desk and throughout the hotel.

Some tips:
- we booked a deluxe room but asked to move because we had a view of the chef's chip pan by the pool bar. The only option was to down grade (due to availability) to a standard room - the only difference is the bath is replaced with a walk in shower and it doesn't have a coffee machine (just standard tea and coffee making facilities). For our down grade we not only took advantage of being on the 5th floor in a quiet location with exceptional sea views but we saved money too. I'd recommend going for a sea view standard room unless you have money to burn!
- if you are a tourist staying more than 72 hours you can get a free "Split card" which gives you free admission to many Split attractions and discounts in restaurants (including the Raddison bar and Caper Grill restaurant - 10% off!) you can get this from reception (but you need to ask...)
- if you walk along the beachfront there is a really good italian restaurant called "Velo Misto" you can sit out on the balcony overlooking the boat yard and pay 40 Kuna for a main meal - this is a good alternative to the hotel retaurant if you don't want to head into Split and you don't want to eat in the hotel. Excellent food, service and really good value for money.

Stay 12 - 19 Jun 11 (I'm still there!).

Extremely disappointed with the service provided in the hotel. Firstly we requested a deluxe room only to find that they were the same as a standard room, only difference was that they had a bath and coffee machine, reception also said that the deluxe had complimentary pay TV channels; these extras were paid for by us but not provided, for example, the coffee was not replenished (we were told first night only), then we were charged 20 kn to replenish it! After complaining the coffee was refilled and the 20 kn was removed from the bill; reception told us the 20 kn was a mistake and 'must have been something removed from the mini bar' - but we hadn't had anything. The started the problem with the pay TV channels - I called reception to ask which channels were 'complimentary' they told me a movie on arrival only - this doesn't make sense, if I am here for 1 night I get 1 movie and if I am here for seven nights I get 1 movie! despite paying x 7 more! This is the same with the mineral water, 1 night = 1 bottle, 7 nights = 1 bottle, it doesn't make sense. Again, after complaint, the reception told us we could have one movie per night - however, guess what, I'm now three nights into my stay and the movies don't work! We are paying a extra 20 plus euros per night for a deluxe room and only getting a few of the extras! To top it off we were told several times that the pay TV would be fixed and that reception would call us back - I've now given up and feel ashamed to be complaining so much - it shouldn't be like this in a hotel that costs over 150 pounds per night! I just want what I've paid for and all I can do now is take great pleasure in writing my comments on trip advisor, last minute.com, expedia and wikitravel. Other frustrating points include a leaking shower that leaves the carpet wet and you having to mop it up, a pokie room size, not all (non-pay TV) channels work, we are overlooking a half building site half finished building (not the romantic sea view you see on the website and in the brochure), the 'private' beach costs 200 kn for a deck chair and 350 kn for a padded seat - not included in hotel price - the manager was not available to discuss these matter with, we left him a note and he never did anything about these problems. When sat on the balcony you can hear everything your neighbours say and smell their cigarette smoke, and the air con won't go below 23 degrees! Also room cleaning is 'ok' but we had to go around after the housekeeping had been to improve the standard. Coming from England 23 degrees is pretty hot and too hot to sleep! At the very least we would expect to see the 350kn pay TV charged refunded for the nights it didn't work (3 night thus far and counting) and we'd also like an explanation from somebody in the management how they can charge 1060 pounds for such a 2* attitude. My advise to other shoppers on the internet will be to look elsewhere in split; this is such a shame as when I've used Radisson in the past they stay has been lovely, but I'm afraid to say you've failed in Croatia!

Room Tip: Book elsewhere, honestly, no tip!
