We spent two weeks in this appartment. The appartment was clean spacious and had everything we needed for a family of four. The view is breathtaking. The pool was very nice and just what we needed.
Sretan is a very warm host and we really enjoyed his hospitality. He is also a tourist guide so one day he took us on a trip. That was very interesting. The traditional dinner at the neighbour was also very nice.
The apartment is ideal to visit the fortress of Klis, Split, the beaches and Trogir... the Krka national Park is only an hour away.
I really recommend this place if you want to stay near Split.
A clean, spacious apartment with all mod cons and stunning views over Split, the Adriatic Sea and the islands. Sretan and his family were informative, friendly and helpful, and collected us from the airport and dropped us back as well. The balcony was the place to be, especially on the mostly warm days and evenings, even in October. The walk up to Klis Castle is well worth it, and there's a bar when you get there (you'll be thirsty). We found it easy to get the bus in to Split and back (bus number 35 from the top of the road) and Split Old Town is simply lovely. Also recommended, the regular ferries to the islands - we had a lovely meal on Brac with the local cats in attendance :)
Amazing holiday with great host, personal tour guide with Sretan, had a lovely day at the National Park with waterfalls, beaches fantastic, Split is a great place, for restaurants and drinks, the whole of Croatia is an amazing place. Hope to return next year.
Just come back from a really great break at this apartment. The owner Sretan is a fantastic super host! Very kind and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble. And his home made wine, which we were offered on the first morning, was truly delicious!
The apartment is on the first floor of the house and has stunning views over Split and the sea. You can also see, further up the hill, Kliss fortress, where they filmed Game of Thrones last year. It is modern and well equipped. There is a pool for the use of visitors but beware, it can be very cold!
We didn't have a car and used the bus service, which runs from the top of the road into Split. It takes about 25 mins. Split itself is very picturesque and interesting. Lots of great restaurants and bars which are not expensive.
Overall, we would highly recommend you stay with Sretan at his wonderful apartment. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go again.
Our family had a marvellous holiday in Stretan's wonderful apartment. It is not at all touristy - a real slice of Croatian life just 20 minutes from Split and very close to the Klis fortress for any GoT fans out there.
The pool is gorgeous with a real panoramic view to help you relax, surrounded by olive trees, and grape vines.
The location is also brilliant for exploring the nearest Adriatic islands and Trogir - all of which are un-missable.
Best of all is Stretan himself - the most welcoming, generous, life - loving host we have ever had the pleasure to stay with. He was so helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. His tour of Split was amazing and really helped us to understand the fascinating history of the area.
He was also amazing with our children - who absolutely adored him. Their message about their holiday is:
'Thank- you Stretan for our brilliant holiday. We all miss you and your delicious cherries and dad misses your company and your home made wine'.
We will be back again to see you and Split again. A thousand thanks for making our holiday such a fabulous and memorable experience.

We had a great time here, location of the apartment is great if you want something peaceful with stunning views out to Split, the sea and islands and also not too far from the airport. We had a hire car for the duration of our stay and I would say this would be beneficial as what is good about the place re it's location means you also have a little bit to travel to get to the nearest supermarkets in Solin and then into Split. There is a bus stop at the top of the road but can't comment on the service of this.
The pool is exclusively for your own use with loungers and deckchairs and the gardens that surround the villa are lovely with various different plants growing fruit and veg and keep an eye out for his two tortoise living around the back too! Sretan was a fantastic host, he was happy to give as much information as required without being overbearing and is a font of knowledge as is a tour guide too.
The apartment is a great size with lots of options for dining al fresco or inside, we had breakfast and lunch here most days and then went into Split at night for our dinner and a walk around.
The apartment is well equipped and I can't think of anything that it was missing that we needed. The bed was comfy in the main bedroom as was the couch bed in the living room and the bathroom shower was good. Other practical things like a washing machine, iron and hairdryer were all present too along with good wifi that can be used by the pool too.
We visited a few of the local beaches in Split and also the local Klis fortress and the old town of Split every night, this took between 20mins or a bit more traffic dependant and found going through the tunnel and into the harbour from that direction the best. The old town can be very busy with everyone seeming to descend on it around 8 til 9 and trying to get a restaurant you want is difficult then so we booked them a night in advance once we saw this which was pretty common practice.
All in all it was a great visit on our first trip to Croatia and a great place to chill and acclimatise before we headed onwards to the island of Brac from the port at Split, thanks Sretan for being a great host, Campbell, Lisa and Harrison (the captain!)
