Really enjoyed our four-night stay at this hotel. Striking design throughout and very helpful staff. Our room was lovely, very spacious with great king size bed . The bathroom was comfortable, the room was clean, and we felt very welcome. Location is really the best- walking distance from the city centre. Also, we had a car parked in secure garage. Great value for the price! I would recommend to anyone. :-)

Room Tip: Our room was at first floor with nice balcony...

The Hotel President is a lovely place. We stayed there recently, and were very impressed. The staff members were friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and was beautifully furnished, with comfortable beds, a large writing desk and chair, a coffee table and chair, and a two-seater. A lovely parquetry floor was partially-covered with matching, patterned rugs. High-quality drapes, curtains and bedspreads, and tasteful artwork were also features of the room. The bathroom was large, modern, ‘fresh’ and clean. It included full tiling, twin basins and a very large bath / shower with spa jets. The dining areas were pleasant and the breakfast included a reasonable range of items. The hotel is well located and is within walking distance of key attractions.

This is a dated hotel in a good location. The rooms are large, the bathrooms fairly nice except for the odd shower in bathtub. At one end of the tub is a wrap around glass door. Don't drop your soap because this is an odd, tight space. Ladies, bring your own soap because what the hotel supplies are a couple of small discs that don't lather well. The floors are beautiful hardwood. The food in the restaurant is not very good, just adequate. It is an easy walk to the harbor with many shops along the way.

Central location close to the old city in Split, easy walk, always felt safe. Parking on the premises a plus. Room upgraded to a suite, which was unexpected. A little dated and waterbed, well... Wifi access good, with dedicated password.
Staff friendly, so a good place to stay. No meals in the hotel ad we opted to explore the city as much as possible

We were highly disappointed when we arrived at the hotel after a long drive from Dubrovnik at 11pm to be told the hotel had overbooked and moved us to another hotel for one night. We had a car and they didn't explain the parking to us or offer to help with our bags that we now had to carry across the road and up the street. The hotel they moved us to was four star and new but not to the same standard as the hotel room we had booked and paid for. We were offered nothing in return and it left a bad taste in our mouths They did have a very nice room ready for us the next morning. The breakfast is not very good so I would not recommend it. The hotel was nice and the rooms are big and decorated nicely. Service was good otherwise and the location is walking distance to the old town.

The room was large. Specific instructions on using shower/bath included as these can be difficult. Lift/elevator as well as wifi. Breakfast acceptable. Our tour dinner was mediocre at best. Rather brusque service. Fitness room locked and inaccessible. Not as charming as in old city accommodation but perhaps quieter. Easy 10 minute walk to palace. Grocery and bakeries nearby.

I' ve never had a worse dinner in my whole life. Fixed dinner consisting of the following: Instant powdered soup. Raw cabbage salad in seed oil and a disgusting cold cut of disgusting pork. It looked like a joke. I guess even prison soup must be better. As for the room, the shower did not work, only the bath tub did. The fridge was broken and flooded forming a poodle of water, and cleanliness was scarce.
