Clean, and friendly. Only downside was the 10 min walk to the water, not for the directionally challenged even with map. Easy to get to by car. Fantastic breakfast of fresh fruits, cured and cooked meats, eggs, cereals, breads and many others.

Stayed: August 2014

We have just returned from a week's holiday and would not hesitate to recommend Hotel Globo, Split. The hotel and rooms were very nice, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, and everything is superbly organised. For what you are getting, value for money is good. Food is good, including a superb breakfast buffet. We got a complimentary water in room and huge surprise was a kettel with tea and coffee making facilities. Check in was perfect and professional, we got all the information on the spot. Excellent concierge service, Iris helped us with everything.

The hotel is also very well located, 10 min walking distance from the old centre of Split. To me this is ideal, with a beautiful and quiet location for the hotel and easy access to the town as and when you want it.

And to mention that you have a possibility to read your local newspapers on tablet for free just ask on reception for it but they'll offer it to you upon arrival.

A well deserved five out of five.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 0 level are quieter.

We had a shocking experience in this hotel. We were forced by hotel management to pay a totally fictive and huge amount (no proof and or indication given at all when we asked to pay fairly for the dammage done by our little son 2/1/2 years old) for an object which was visibly broken and repaired in the past. This and our immediate expulsion by the aid of the local police was something like criminal and dramatically spoiled our holiday and any good souvenirs from Croatia.
Defmation and lies on our behavior as guests and our parental duties were the cherry on the cake.
In reality, our children were traumatized when forced to quit our room (already booked and paiment by travel agency) during their rest.

Otherwise, bathroom (with an existing problem of water evacuation which was only fixed on our demand upon arrival) and rooms are very small, situation is far from the sea and the old town. There are no facilities like pool (not to mention a sauna or spa) and not even a restaurant!
Why on earth is this a four star hotel?!

Our advice: Chose your hotel in Split extremely carefully as this was our second very negative experience in only two days!

Just so everyone knows my point of view, I am a young professional in my mid 20s and travel more than 160+ days a year for work and holiday.

I stayed in this hotel for one night after spending 12 days in Croatia (including 3 nights in Diocletian's Palace).

TL:DR: The Rooms are clean, the staff are helpfull, and you receive free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. The only downside is the walk to the Palace/beach. If you do not mind walking a bit I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Ease of Experiencing the City (Split) 3.5/5 - It is a 10 minute walk to Diocletian's Palace but is very doable at all hours of the day.

Room Details:
Room Cleanliness 5/5 - The room and bathroom were very clean
Food 3.5/5 - Free breakfast. Nothing special but you can't argue with free food.
Bathroom 5/5 - The bathroom was nearly the size of the sleeping quarters. The shower was amzaing. It was big enough to have an an L shaped bench and there were 6 shower heads you can use at once. I do not know if this is typical, but it was extremely relaxing.
Room Size 2.5/5 - For a standard king size bed it was a pretty small. I shared with a friend and we were pressed for space.

Bed 4/5 - Bed was pretty comfortable, i had a good night's sleep..

Wi-Fi 5/5 - Fast and free Wi-Fi

Price 4/5 - The hotel rate was reasonable for what i received.

Dear Sir,
Since You travel a lot and visit so many hotels, it is great to hear that You were satisfied with
service You received in our hotel Globo.
I'm very happy when I read that room was very clean, it is great issue for us in hotel Globo.
Hopefully you didn't mind walking distance to the old town since it was only 10 min walk and since we are located in the city center but again out of big crowd that old town provide.
Hopefully we'll be able to accommodate You again and wish You great day.

Rooms were clean and spacious, and the bathroom was a great size! Staff were extremely friendly and willing to answer any queries we had. It's a quick 10-minute walk to the old town so no need to catch a taxi. Breakfast was great and the overall service was exceptional. I'd definitely stay here again!!

We stayed for 2 nights in June in a standard double room.
We arrived on a rainy day after walking in the Plitvice park in the morning. Totally exhausted and wet through.
This was a great hotel to recover and get some smalls washed and dried out.
On our one month trip this was the only hotel where you could turn on the heated towel rail. What is that about?
This was great for drying things out.
This hotel does everything right - the reception, room, breakfast, WiFi, etc
The only slight negative is the neighborhood. It is a bit grim with dirty buildings and lots of graffiti. In fact Split was a bit of a let down after visiting other much nicer parts of Croatia.
However, the hotel is within an easy 10 mins walk of the main Centre. And the waterfront is actually quite charming.
