My daughter and I stayed here and loved it. Joanne and her son Jano were extremely gracious and attentive to our needs. This part of the old town has very limited parking (it is well located close to the Split Promenade outside Diocletian's Palace), kindly Jano parked our car in his home garage some distance away and brought it back when we needed it!
We were also most grateful that Jano also helped us navigate the stairs with our heavy suitcases and drove us in our car to the ferry terminal, since it was not a direct route.
The room was large, clean and quiet with a good bathroom.
Excellent restaurants and a laundromat were conveniently steps away.
Ella and Elise
This is a lovely family run business and I have only praise.

Room Tip: first floor room means less climbing of stairs

We initially had a little trouble finding this place but it didn't take long in the end.
It's in a cool, residential neighbourhood very close to Split old town (3 mins walk) and main drag on the harbour.
Stayed one night and had a great nights sleep in probably one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in away from home...great pillows and linen sheets.
The rooms are simply but very tastefully done and very clean.
The smoothy bar around the corner is worth a stop.

The taxi from the train to the hotel is quite long however it is easier and quicker to walk. The taxi was quite expensive and had i known, i would have walked. not very good communication. There was no breakfast included in the room rate. Room was very small however quite clean. The beds were not great however it was quite because old town has no traffic. Not very good value compared to other places I have been.

hello,

Room was small and we had to walk round each other and the furniture, no where to put suitcases unless you unpacked into the wardrobe. Really squeaky floorboards which drove me mad, i feel sorry for the room underneath us and i could hear the rooms adjacent to me too. The corridor echoed too and people coming and going was noisy. The new bathroom looked fantastic but only had a hand held shower! i cant imagine why, if you want to wash and coniditon your hair, holding the shower is a pain. Bedside lamps didn't work either. Tucked away in back alleys which is ok except for the guys next door working on their motorbikes and having spare parts and grease all over the place. Not for me, friends booked much nicer places for same price or less in the centre of the town. The boy played taxi driver to take us to the airport, which is not for the faint hearted, young boy racer in a big merc was a big scary at 8am!!

Located in Varos district it's about a minute walk from the Riva, but in a great little neighbourhood with some terrific restaurants like Sperun and Perun within 30 secs walk. We stayed in the apartment which was a bit extra but was worth it for the extra space, kitchen and roof terrace overlooking the Varos area. Joanne and her son were really helpful and looked after us so well. Great choice for Split if you're looking for somewhere comfy and a home from home. Only downside was parking is a bit tricky if youve got a car and there isn't wi fi Internet, but those are minor quibbles for a place for a long weekend.
