Stayed one night as part of a tour. Lobby has sterile feel without personality. On busy street with traffic noise in front facing rooms. 20 minute walk to old town. Shopping mall behind the hotel. The room and bath was large with double sinks but again lacked personality. Our arranged dinner was only fair but next morning's breakfast was good, but not great. The best part was the staff who took care of several little problems within minutes of our call to the front desk. They were polite and very helpful. There must be more convenient and interesting places to stay here in Split.

Stayed here for just one night as part of a business trip. Friendly and helpful staff and very nice, modern room which was spotlessly clean. The Hotel has a nice little Gym with good modern equipment and the swimming pool is also a great place to wind down at the end of the day. I only ate here at Breakfast. It was fine; a decent sized buffet breakfast with plenty of variety and the food was of a good quality.
The hotel is only about 15 minutes walk from the old town and the sea front so not too bad. Despite the main road outside the sleep quality was good.

Nice hotel but I consider it a 4.5* not 5* per my tour operator, location is far from sites, rooms are ok, breakfast is good, pool fine, dinner at hotel good, service good, internet works fine in room, it is always nice to be in the center of the towns when in Croatia. Previously stayed at the Iadera - a real 5*, so consider this one a 4.5*. Also fine as a triple room with 3 beds.

Room Tip: Nice hotel but rather far com center and sites.

We checked in to the Atruim on Monday 2nd September and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They kindly organised for us to have breakfast served to our room every day complimentary as a gift for our honeymoon. Each day we ordered a wide selection of whatever we wanted, which was all delicious. The pool and sauna are nice for a bit of relaxation. The room was spacious, clean, with fresh towels every day. They even set up a romantic rose petals bed for our first night. The location of the hotel is further out from the beautuful Riva and old town but on many occasions we were happy to enjoy the 15minute stroll or alternatively taxis are readily available for around 40kn if necessary. We researched the hotel prior to booking so we were aware of its location and I don't think it's something to complain about if you know what to expect. We were made to feel that our enjoyment of our stay was the absolute priority of the hotel and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Atruim and your lovely staff for such a fantastic start to our honeymoon.

Rooms are spacious ,very clean with excellent bathroom facilities. Free wifi in the room also very good.
Location however is poor on a very busy main road and a good twenty minute walk from the main attractions.I would certainly have be disappointed if I had bought my family along with me.
The area itself is not the best, very built up, lots of graffiti and uncomfortable walking of an evening with some local undesirables continually asking for money. Taxi's back to the hotel from the harbour area of an evening are a must.
Breakfast was poor with basics like fresh orange juice unavailable on both mornings.
Coffee was unpalletable.
Hotel staff varied from excellent to quite rude.
Restaurant had the same menu as the Room Service menu which in my opinion was poor with not a lot of choice.
Although there was an indoor pool there was nowhere to sit outside to relax, read a book etc.
There were a few tables and chairs outside at the front but with the road so close it was just a noisy smoking area.
Only the executive rooms have some form of balcony and an upgrade was a hefty €100 per night.(August 2013)
I therefore fail to see how this hotel has managed to achieve a five star rating.
Some previous reviews mention numerous thefts from the rooms,There is a free safe which will hold all the basics and I strongly recommend that this be used at all times.
Although this was for a business trip and this is supposedly one of the top hotels in Split, I will not be using this hotel again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the main road still get noise through the closed windows and the view is just a considerabl...

We stayed at Atrium for 6 days, we found the hotel clean and our room a good size. The staff were friendly. The swimming pool was good as sometimes just my husband and i swimming on our own. The breakfast was ok , with a good choice but sometimes hot food not that warm.

The location of hotel is a good 20 minutes walk to the seafront.

We stayed 2 nights at the Atrium Hotel in room 318. The room and bathroom were quite big. We had a king bed with one big semi-fluffy blanket. It was quite comfortable. There was a flat screen TV and a combination safe.

There were 2 sinks, a tissue dispenser, an adjustable height shower, and an SOS cord in the bathroom. There were robes and slippers for going to the pool.

There was a more than full length mirror in the room, in addition to free WiFi, and a magnetic key to the room that just had to be waved at the lock. This same key did need to be used to keep the electricity on.

For negatives, the desk lamp didn't work (not reported) and another light could not be turned off unless it was unplugged. This was reported on our departure. Also the minibar seemed to be stocked a bit sparsely, but since we didn't use it, it wasn't a problem. There were 2 computer terminals for use near the lobby, but one wasn't connecting properly to the internet (reported to management).

There were 2 big and fast elevators for use. The evening meal was good (chicken cordon-bleu one night), but the fresh pepper was a little slow coming around. You could sign for drinks, which was helpful. Breakfast seemed to be a little lacking, but I didn't pay much attention to it. There were 2 single cup coffee machines. There was a belt toaster, and water was included.

I found the front desk staff to be helpful with our requests -- extra room key; finding a place to get extra minutes on a cell phone; taking and holding the keys for our rental car, which we were dropping off at the hotel, for our early departure. I never used the bar in the lobby.

The number 9 bus goes right by the hotel, down to the main tourist area, and then to the ferries. It cost 12 kuna. Other buses passing the hotel likely also go to and from the tourist area. Be aware that the buses stop running at 11 PM. A taxi cost 50 kuna.

We had no problems with anything being stolen, and none in our group reported any problems like that either (and we were there the same month that problems were reported in other reviews).

I would stay in this hotel again, but I'd also look for a hotel closer to the old city next time.
