“A very good hotel a good walk from the old town”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

This is a fine, modern hotel, very comfortable, friendly and efficient. It has a good bar and pretty decent restaurant. It's in the suburbs which means a walk of about 20 minutes into the old town or you can catch a bus from nearby. You might find the local area a bit rundown but I felt perfectly safe although it's not much of a place to go for a walk. There are plenty of local shops and just around the back is the Joker shopping centre which you'll probably find listed in guide books. I didn't visit so I can't comment but it looked as if it contained the usual suspects.

As you'd expect in a modern 5 star hotel it has a spa and gym as well as a casino. The casino is quite discrete. I enjoyed my stay there and recommend it. Whether it deserves a 5 star rating depends upon what you compare it to but apart from the location I had no complaints.

The Atrium Hotel is perfectly adequate, but it can’t help but feel like a step down from some of the more luxurious properties that my Gate 1 tour group stayed at. Our room was very spartan and the green/grey carpet looked somewhat dirty—though whether that was actual dirt or just the grim pattern I can’t say for sure. To be fair, though, I should point out that the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nicer than most, with twin sinks, plush towels and a very vigorous shower.

Our group had dinner in the hotel restaurant the evening of our arrival, and the customary buffet breakfast the following morning. In each case, the food was perfectly acceptable but nothing special.

The hotel is on a busy street in an urban area, so noise from the adjacent road can disturb your sleep; bring earplugs! The central tourist areas are walking distance from the hotel, or a short bus ride.

All in all, the Atrium is a perfectly agreeable place to spend a night while you visit the beautiful city of Split, but I was glad not to be there for an extended stay.

We had wonderful time in this hotel, room was large, bathroom also. Nice SPA, with indoor pool unfortunately not so deep, sauna, exercise room. Modern and new hotel in dark colors. Breakfast was very good, restaurant for dining is excellent. Hotel is located in the city, a 15-20min walk to Diocletian palace and old city. Staff is very friendly and helpful (especially Ivan in the restaurant). I did not like the fact that you had to pay extra for the parking in hotel garage, and because of location, no sea view. I would recomand this hotel, especially for business people.

Hotel ok to good. Not a 5 star as rated. Dark room, adequate breakfast, location a 20 min walk from diocletian's palace and waterfront. Bus to center an hour late. All in all a perfectly ok modern hotel but not up to dubrovnik hotel standards.

This hotel was fine and the rooms and bathrooms had been updated with good towels. Slow service but having several tour groups there at the same time was hectic. Casino next to hotel but we just walked through

Updated fixtures in room.
Our room had a relatively big (for Europe) bathroom with tub and 2 sinks.
Small indoor pool, sauna, turkish bath and exercise room on lower floor.
Ok breakfast with breads, roasted veggies, fruit salad, milk, yogurt and cereal for vegetarians.
Wifi worked well.

Service at dinner was slow and wasn't organized. They couldn't track who ordered what and there were significant delays for some folks in getting their dishes.
Hotel is on a busy street, rooms on that side have some street noise but the rooms on the other side are quiet.

I arrived late at night. Porter was waiting for me in garage and helped me with my luggage. Check-in was smooth and fast with very pleasant young receptionist. Room was specious with modern style furniture and flat screen TV, comfy bed and hughe bathroom with bathrobe and slippers and many other little things which I do not use, but like to see. Buffet breakfast has selection of cheeses, prosciutto, omlets, cakes, cereals, toasts and fruits. Croissants are of high quality. Waiters are all polite and efficient. I missed the restaurant for a real meal as my friend brought me out to the city. But I tried the Filomena wellness and that was great. In the morning I was alone at the pool of decent size and with massage chairs. Turkish bath I liked very much. Foot massage mini treatment – amazing! This hotel is definitely for reccommendation and has atmosphere of boutique hotel.
