Excellent location and service! We stayed here for two nights, exploring the city of Split and it's surroundings during daytime. The hotel is a short 3 minute walk from the main dock and bus station, and a 5 minute walk from Split Old Town, situated in an old, narrow picturesque street. It doesn't feel cramped however, as the hotel building is higher than the rest of the nearby buildings, and lets you have a view of the nearby rooftops from the rooms (no seaview tough). Clean, seemingly newly renovated, quite spacious rooms, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was fine as well, traditional continental with different kinds of eggs and sausages, spreads (ham, cheese, jam, and so on), cereals, yoghurt and fresh fruits. The highlight of the hotel however was the staff, in particular at the reception. Friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely serviceminded, they went out of their way to help us with our requests, among them finding a place for us to stay in the Dalmatian riviera. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a hotel as a base to explore Split.

My husband and I had about 36 hours in Split before catching the ferry back to Italy during our recent honeymoon. We wanted to find a hotel that was located close to the ferry and the old/historic part of town. Royal Suites is a small hotel--maybe a dozen rooms--that is just a 5 minute walk from the ferry and Diocletian's palace so it fit the bill perfectly. It was also extremely clean and included breakfast.

The staff were very nice and helpful. Upon arrival, they provided us with a little welcome plate with figs, prosciutto, etc which was just an exceptionally nice touch. They helped us make a restaurant reservation (Apetit, which I also highly recommend) and they stored our luggage so we could do some sightseeing between check out and our overnight ferry.

We were initially unsure about this place when we first saw it from the outside, but all of our fears were allayed when we stepped inside.
The rooms are extremely clean and very comfortable, the staff were friendly, professional, so helpful and spoke excellent English. The location is great, a stones throw from the split harbour.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff. I only wish I could have personally thanked them all! Pick this hotel, you won't regret it.

This lovely hotel, located within a short walk to the harbor, ferries and the old town including Diocletian's Palace is the perfect place to stay. Recently renovated, the generous size rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds, writing desk, and the bath includes a corner shower, and large porcelain sink. Housekeeping is excellent, the rooms were immaculate, and the breakfast includes both hot and cold items, including fruit, cheese, and cold cuts.

All the staff is very friendly and helpful; we encountered a problem with our reservation (our fault) and required an extra day stay, even though the hotel was close to full, the staff quickly accommodated our stay with a smile, even though it caused extra work on their part. Overalll, one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in throughtout our extensive travels.

Room Tip: Located at Kralja Zvonmira 12, the hotel is on the third floor of the Splitzka Banka building with...

Despite delayed flights, the taxi arranged by the hotel was there when we came out. The taxi driver carried our bags to the taxi and upon arrival at the hotel, carried our bags to the hotel as though it was the normal thing to do. We arrived at the hotel at midnight very tired and hungry from the journey. We asked the receptionist, where we could get something to eat. He rushed to a restaurant, which was about to close, around the corner from the hotel to get us food and we paid after he brought us the food.

The receptionist was literally our Google/tourist guide.

The facilities were top grade: furnishings of good taste, very clean, and orderly. Breakfast was quite an experience, wide spectrum of choices were provided. Tina will take care of your breakfast needs.

Last but not least - great location - few meters to the Green Market, Diocletian Palace, Bus depot, port/harbor, several churches, fish market, restaurants, shops.

My wife & l stayed two nights in May. Cost was Hrk2052. Room was very clean & well equipped with a balcony. Very helpful staff. Only downside was the cooked breakfast was only luke warm and no means (apart from 1 tea light under each container) to keep it hot or a microwave to re-heat it.

Fantastic rooms considering the cost, polite and friendly staff and a decent continental breakfast. The location is superb, a few minutes walk from the harbour and a nice stroll from Diocletian's Palace. We didn't trust our map reading skills and got a 400m taxi from the port, which was dumb!
