“A clean and comfortable hotel right on the port front.”
Reviewed 5 September 2013

The hotel is superbly situated, opposite the port of Dubrovnik.
Pleasant reception area with a travel office and hairdresser.
An extensive buffet breakfast is served daily with a buffet lunch and dinner also available.
There is a patio outside the entrance doors and it is rather nice to wander there to finish your breakfast coffee!
Before the restaurant there is also a bar.
On the ground level ( the hotel ground floor is up the steps!) the is the hotel tavern, serving excellent restaurant meals and alcoholic beverages. The octopus and squid they serve is superb!
My room was basic but spotless- no bath but a walk in shower cubicle.
There was no provision for coffee nor tea within room and a limited minibar.
Although the air conditioning worked, the housekeeper explained the temp indicator was faulty.
In addition to its fine location, the is a bus stop to town ( about £2 fare into the old town) immediately across from the entrance.
My major complaint was that the WiFi was very temperamental during my stay, often going off at a moments notice, resulted in gangs of people congregating with their tablets etc in the reception, where the service was good. The hotel staff said the problem was being worked upon and was because of the signal strength at the Port Offices across the road!
If you want a port view, you need a room on the front of the hotel but most seem block booked to the large number of cruise passengers visiting.

Room Tip: Get a front room!

A hotel you like from the very first moment; very kind and helpful receptionists and staff! Clear rooms with fantastic view to the port and Lapad area. Very well located concerning the easiness of accessing the old city by bus since the bus stop is in front of the hotel. Nice restaurant in reasonable prices.

Room Tip: Prefer sea view rooms even the price is higher

Good points;
Staff friendly, good view from balcony, clean

Bad Points;
Very expensive for what is was (paid 100 euros per night), very outdated, room smelt like an ashtray, requested to move and the other smelt the same, food below average.

Definitely needs renovation, and it keeps standards as is, should definitely drop the price.

Room Tip: Don't get smoking room

Great balcony room overlooking the Port, lots of space but whole hotel a bit dated. Breakfast a bit disappointing but location so convenient. Having balcony doors open is super noisy though! Internet was not successful.

I was on the business trip accompanied by my son. The hotel was very nice and clean, spacious rooms with the balconies. Very helpful and smiling staff at the reception desk. Positive atmosphere. Good location: near to the ferry boat station, port and sea promenade. There are several snack bars near hotel. In the same hotel we had good breakfast in the morning. Some confusion with luggage and elevator that going in the floor where is located restaurant, so you should pass itch the luggage throught restaurant. Otherwise very good impression and good price for business or travel.

good hotel overall,with friendly & helpful staff.the food was disappointingly below average.location good (opposite the harbour)air-con very good,room cleaned every day.all in all it is a good base to travel from to see Dubrovnic and the Croation sights. there are several scenic walks around the harbour and around the coast to enjoy and numerous buses to various destinations with the bus stop just across the road

Room Tip: choose a room on a high floor at the front of the hotel,they are quieter and you can see the cruise...
