Just had a week there. Lovely hotel - clean, modern, efficient. Nice staff. Everything there that you could want really. Location quite convenient for Dubrovnik, though the bus trip can be a bit manic. Hotel food nice, lots of choice (we were half board), service mostly good too. Room very comfortable and clean. Ours faced inland to some olive trees etc, caught the sun in the morning, which we prefer. The pools are beautiful, but there is no beach to speak of. Lovely wine (I think there's a little left).
Croatia is probably one of the prettiest places I have ever been to, and Dubrovnik is amazing too. (Visit also nearby Montenegro, even prettier).
Croatian people are, what shall we say, not necessarily very spontaneous. Taciturn might be fair. This is a bit of a generalisation of course, and they do warm up after a while. May be a language thing, or a cultural thing. Faint occasional echoes of the recent very tragic war.
Great place, great hotel. Go there.More
