We booked 2 rooms for one week in August - self, wife and 18&19 year old teenage sons - all of them fussy! The hotel was bright and clean. The reception well-staffed and very helpful. They found us adjoining rooms within 1/2 hour of arrival, even though we arrived at 10am and check-in wasn't until 2pm. Everything just worked. All the staff were friendly and spoke English. We had half-board, and the food was both varied and good. The waiters worked hard to clear and reset tables quickly and to provide drinks. The spa was clean and modern, the gym larger than expected and the pools surprisingly large - I am used to pictures taken at flattering angles - but in fact, all their publicity pictures are very accurate. We used the tour booking service and the advice was helpful and the tour good value. Access to the sea is from The President Hotel, 250m away. There is a combined pool towel service, nothing was ever a hassle - we would borrow towels at either hotel and return them back at whichever one we wanted to. The public bus service is easy and convenient - 15 mins into the old town of Dubrovnik for 15 Kuna (£1.50). There was free internet throughout the hotel. Only two small gripes: the WiFi strength was not great and as a result often a bit slow - fine, however, if you used the wired connection provided in the room; and sometimes getting drinks at meal-times was a bit slower than we'd have liked. Everything felt fresh and well thought through. We even arranged airport transfers via email - and again, there wasn't a hint of hassle. The views of the sunset were stunning. The double beds were huge, and the rooms spacious as well. The air conditioning was whisper quiet, but effective. Everything considered, it is hard to imagine that we could reasonably have expected more for the price we paid. They clearly have very high standards and are not aiming at the cheap end of the package market - everything looked and felt new and well planned and extremely well managed. No hesitation in recommending this.
