We were so pleased to stay here in this delightful apartment.
Tonko and Tanja made us feel very welcome in their lovely country. They are so genuine and kind and made us feel like part of the family. Tonko has lived here all his life and knows everything about the area.
The apartment is great, and has gorgeous views from the balcony which spans the living room and the main bedroom. It's only about 1km from Old town Dubrovnik - easy walking distance, and you can see it from the apartment.
It's self catering which we really wanted with microwave oven fridge freezer and washing machine. there is a supermarket just down the road where you can get everything you need. There are sandy and rocky beaches within easy walking distance as quiet or as busy as you like.
We will definitely be coming back!

Just back from a wonderful week in this marvellous apartment. In all our holidays, European and transatlantic this was without a doubt the the best service we have ever had. from my first email Tonko was amazing and replied to any queries promptly. He picked us up at the airport and on arrival were given cold beers and juice while Tonko showed us round the apartment. Although you see pictures on the website of the view from the balcony it still takes your breath away. The apartment is spotlessly clean and well equipped and the balcony is totally private with views of the old town and Lokrum. The walk into the old town takes about 15 minutes but bus stop is just across the road if you don't fancy the walk. Tickets can be purchased at all the kiosks. There are two beaches nearby and you can also swim from the rocks directly below the apartment. Our favourite was the Saint Jacob which is about 400 to 500 metres away.

Lots of boat trips available from the port, Lokrum is an absolute must as it is very peaceful and a break from the bustle of the old town. Cavtat as well is very beautiful and can be reached by bus or boat. We took the cable car up Srd and did the buggy safari which was a lot of fun.
Dubrovnik is without doubt a beautiful place and we hope to return next year.

All in all I doubt there is a better place to stay in Dubrovnik , and I know for a fact there are definitely no better hosts than Tonko and Tanja who were both lovely people who go above and beyond in the service they provide.

Just returned from a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable week at Apartment Tanja. The apartment has amazing views and is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Tonko and Tanja are lovely hosts and go the extra mile to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Tonko met us at the airport and took us back for our return flight which made the transfers very easy. Tonko also took us for a trip on his boat to show us Dubrovnik from the sea and Tanja made us a delicious meal on our last night.
Dubrovnik is a beautiful place to visit but it was exceptionally hot when we were there and you need to be fairly fit to negotiate all the hills and steps.
We would definitely recommend this apartment and hope to return one day.

This amazing apartment overlooking the Adriatic Sea is clean and well maintained. The view in the first picture is exactly what you see looking out from the living room. We had three people (two adults and a 14 year old) and we were very comfortable. The air conditioning unit is powerful enough to cool the entire apartment, if needed. And the owner is great! He picked us up at the airport, told us about sites to see, and gave us recommendations for meals. He also helped us get back to the airport a week later when we ran into difficulty! The location is also good -- far enough out of town so that you can relax in a quiet atmosphere but close enough so that you can watch the boats go into and out of the harbor. The walk into town is down one street with a sidewalk, and the 1.3 km (less than a mile) takes about 15-20 minutes. Our friends stayed in the old town in Dubrovnik, and their place was much smaller, not as well maintained, and had no view. I would recommend Apartment Dubrovnik Tanja to anyone and everyone!

From pick up to drop off at the airport, Tonko and Tania and their family could not have been kinder and more helpful. The apartment is better than it looks on the website photos - very comfortable, kitchen extremely well equiped - (headroom is not an issue as I thought it might first be) and no photo could do justice to the view from the balcony.

Buses to the centre and beyond to the main port are every 20 - 30 minutes though we tended to walk (20 mins) because its such a nice view. Buy a handful of bus tickets first day from supermarket to get 20% off.

Apart from the city the boat trips are well worth going on. A quick ten minutes to Locrum on one boat for a walk around, all day trip with on board food to three islands on another - well worth doing - great fun, great people.

Small cove 400 metres to the south south, down below, great for swimming, sunbeds etc for hire and great for the leg muscles - 300 steps in total down and you guessed it 300 back up but what's the rush when you have the views, climate etc.

Overall, my wife and I had a great time with Tania and Tonko helping in so many ways to make it a stress free holiday and the evening we spent together over a typical BBQ was a great way to round off a day.

Wow! Just returned from an amazing break in this stunning place and already planning on coming back next year. The whole experience from start to finish was great. Tonko and his wife Tanja made us feel so welcome and made the trip just that bit more memorable and special. So much to see and do and Tonko is always available to give advice and recommendations. Yes there are a few steps up to the apartment and one of the nearby beaches but not enough to stop anyone of any age being able to get out and about. Beautiful, place, friendly warm people, weather was wonderful, food was great, amazing city and breathtaking views. Only downside was the mosquito bites, so remember your sprays etc!
