“Lovely bijou apartment”
Reviewed 5 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Great location and very clean - located near top gate so great for arriving as don't need to carry cases down (and up) too many steps.
Very quiet at night and has two separate entrances so ideal for older children who can come and go as required.
Be warned though the apartment is over 4 levels with quite steep steps so probably not ideal if elderly or infirm.
Had great stay and would return.

“Perfect location”
Reviewed 9 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We are a family of 6 adults who spent a week in House Iva in May and we all loved it.
Considering it is located directly below the city walls yet only 2 minutes from The Stradum it is amazingly peaceful with great 'rooftop views' across the city to the sea.
We had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay and the house felt very homely, lovely cafes within 30 seconds walk which were perfect for breakfasts and we enjoyed the artwork in every room.
Having 2 doors to the house with 3 sets of keys was really useful as it meant we could all come and go as we pleased. Would happily stay here again and walking the steps back every day certainly keeps you fit.

“Highly recommended”
Reviewed 24 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Great location, great guests, great accommodation. Quiet apartment, despite its central position, clean and cosy. Lots of stairs, so I suggest to be parsimonious with your luggages. That said, everything was perfect.

“Wondeful location”
Reviewed 5 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Our family with four persons stayed House Iva for two nights in August. Location is wonderful and we really enjoyed the scenery of the Adriatic Sea and the old town of Dubrovnik every morning and night from the fourth floor of House Iva. The sound of bell of churches in the old town were also very nice in the morning.

“Fab location, great amenities, quirky house”

we rented this lovely three-bedroom house in the Old Town of Dubrovnik for eight days as a family with two older teenagers. We loved it and would definitely rent it again if we returned.
it was perfect for our usage - clean, tidy, with excellent cooking/hi-tech facilities and with a very friendly and helpful owner. it was particularly hot while we were there and we appreciated the air-conditioning and the wi-fi was well-used by the kids.
The house is right in the Old Town, by Buza Gate and great for wandering down (lots of steps) to the centre and roaming around. Loads of things to do and easy to get out of Dubrovnik (5 minute walk to bus/taxi rank). You can walk to the beach in a few minutes too.
We really enjoyed the house as it suited our purpose but probably wise to point out:
* Dubrovnik is all about the steps and this house is at the top of about 100 steps (from the Old Town) so you need to be mobile
* The house is spread over four floors - each floor is a bedroom with the sitting/kitchen area at the top. We liked this as our teenagers could go and do what they wanted but this might not suit everyone. It would not be suitable for young children or people who cannot handle stairs
* There were a few little quirks like there was no hot water in the kitchen (but there was a kettle) but this was by far made up by the friendly service. We couldn't figure out how to put the washing machine on so they came and put it on for us
All in all, we thought it was excellent accommodation at a very reasonable price and we really enjoyed staying there.

“Helpful and friendly handover”
Reviewed 30 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment for 5 nights in May 2014. The owner was very helpful with information before I confirmed the booking and provided excellent introductory information about the apartment and the location on arrival.
We booked all the house as we wished to have the space and a room each as 3 adults from the same family. A well stocked supermarket is a 5 minute walk away and restaurants very close by but its a quiet location ( on a previous visit we had stayed nearer rage Stradum and found it very noisy at night). The apartment is well stocked, clean, light and airy and well stocked with TVs,AC etc. it's very close to all amenities of town despite being just next to the walls of Dubrovnik. I would definitely return
