went looking for Hemmingway's bar, and this is the 'new' name.
Perhaps because we went in the afternoon, it did always look popular in the evenings.
uninterested staff, poorly made cocktails... I like Aperol, I like it in a spriz, but when you have a classic Negroni's on the menu (with Campari) then I expected Campari, not orange coloured Aperol.
When I asked I was told that's the ingredients on the card, and I have to have it.
not to sound too pompous but I've been several times to Florence, at the Giacosa Café where a perfect Negroni was invented. it's red. very red.
Long Island Iced Tea so weak of alcohol, it might as well have been iced tea.
got fobbed off as that's what a Negroni is. guess Hemmingway is spinning in his grace so much, that bar was renamed.
If you cant get two basic cocktails right I doubt the rest,
I guess used to the steady day trip of cruise ship dockers, that aren't bothered. so we downed our pop, left quickly and never went back that week.
with so many good bars in Dubrovnik, my advice is to avoid this average one, unless you want the Piazza view.
