We stayed in a sea facing room - 3205, the view was awesome. There was a huge bedroom and a living room which fitted two baby cots. The suite had two bathrooms with hot water always and perfect shower pressure. The room, location and staff were wonderful. Only complaint was the food. With a room rate in excess of 300 euros a night, breakfast could have been a higher quality with a few choices. The buffet had 4 hot dishes , bad scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages. The bread selection was poor and rolls were not replaced when the basket was empty. We went for dinner at the restaurant on the property, I ordered asparagus soup an it tasted like a packet soup with 4 tiny pieces of asparagus thrown in as garnish. My husband ordered fish and they added mash potatoes and some vegetables which was mediocre. The annoying thing was that we ordered a kiddies meal for the two year old and had to ask when our mains arrived and the waiter responded by saying he didn't know when to bring it. When it arrived she was tired and we had to leave. Poor show with respect to catering. It was a pity as the view from the window of the room was heavenly especially as we could see the stars on clear nights from the balcony

This hotel is fantastic. The rooms were so clean & modern. We are a family of four with a 14 & 17 year old. We had a suite and the staff very kindly put a single bed in the lounge for my son so my daughter could have the sofa bed (we were going to ask for single beds in the main bedroom) the sofa bed was really good quality. I've stayed in a lot of very nice hotels including a number of five star, but this really is one of the best.
The restaurants were fantastic as we're the staff. We ate in the pool bar & the Castile both were faultless. We went with friends with three young children & the location was brilliant as you could walk on the sea path into the local town which had great bars & restaurants and good beaches (although quite rocky so you did need the beds). The old town was an easy bus ride away (every 20 mins from outside the hotel). I really would recommend this hotel to anyone, my sister is booking for next year. This was my first time in Croatia and I will definitely be going back.

We were booked into the sister hotel The Neptune in May of this year and having found the room too small asked for an upgrade so were offered a suite in the Royal Princess for a nominal extra charge. It was well worth it! - beautiful hotel overlooking Adriatic. Dining terrace and bar on two levels overlooking the sea and steps accessing the sea directly from sunbathing area. Comfy sunbeds and lovely fluffy soft towels part of he service. Buses from beside hotel every 15 mins into old town of Dubrovnik which was stunningly beautiful.

Room Tip: If available, request room facing sea

Dubrovnik is simply an amazing city on the Adriatic sea. Royal Princess hotel has one of the best views of the sea in the entire city, plus the hotel staff are very courteous and service is amazing. I spent 3 days on my honey moon, and it was a great experience. Definitely highly recommended.

Room Tip: Make sure to book a sea view room

My wife and two children aged 6 and 7 stayed at the Royal Princess Hotel for 4 nights in mid-August. If you want to stay at a hotel that is top notch with an incredible view of the Adriatic Sea and not too far from the Dubrovnik's Old Town, this is the place. I have stayed at other hotels in the Dubrovnik area but none of these hotels come close to Importanne Resort. The suite we stayed in was not only luxurious and spacious but also had a beautiful view of the sea. The service at La Castile and other restaurants was great. The food at all of the restaurants was incredible. You have the choice of swimming in a fresh water pool, salt water pools or even swimming in the Adriatic Sea. There is also a diving area which can be used to either jump into or dive into the sea. If you want to go to Dubrovnik's Old Town, you can take a cab (we paid 70 Kuna which is the equivalent of 9 Euro) and get to the Old Town in approximately 15 minutes. My family is planning to return to Importanne Resort in the near future.
