Had 4 nights at the Bellevue Hotel, we had a superior room, which was a good size, with a balcony, with nice little extras, like slippers and a robe. The room looked out onto a lovely bay with the hotel's private beach. The breakfast was a buffet with a very good selection, plus a menu. The indoor swimming pool was very good and I liked the fact that towels were supplied in the pool area and on the beach. The walk into the old town, I thought was just right about 20 minutes along the coast, where there were plenty of cafes and restaurants, also boat trips. I enjoyed my visit to the Bellevue and Dubrovnik very much.

We loved the Bellevue. It is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but it is a class act. It is one of the closest deluxe hotels to the old town and also a fantastic beach - so given we were traveling with children it offered the perfect combination of sightseeing and beach. It was also nice that the delicious breakfast served on a balcony over-looing the beach was generous, delicious and included! While the rooms are reasonably pricy the extras were well priced - a nice surprise in a hotel of this calibre. We also liked our room and got a good deal on expedia.

We loved the hotel, value for money, great breakfast, excellent service. All of the Staff extremely helpful and friendly.
Very clean, beautiful fresh flowers, great views.
The only drawback was that it is a brisk 25 minute walk to the Old Town and a bit daunting going back up the hotel. But once you get there it's ok. We did get a taxi back one night for a few euros. But what the heck, you're on holidays. And after 5 weeks away overseas, it was the end of our trip, and we had done so much walking!
So pleased we didn't end up staying in the Old Town as there are so many steps, and it would have been a nightmare carrying the cases up and down.
Things happen for a reason.
We did pay a deposit thru our bank for an apartment, but there was no accommodation. Our bank has put a trace on the money If there is any fraud from this particular accommodation, I will advise Trip Advisor.

The first thing that hit me when entering reception was the lovely smell of fresh lilies. Reception was very helpful and spoke perfect English as we only speak a small amout of Croatian, and our flight meant we arrived at the hotel at 7.30am. The rooms are contemporary, spotless and very well equipped.

Wonderful views into the Adriatic and the relaxing sound of waves lapping on the shore was perfect.

We made it to breakfast on 1 day and there are no complaints. There is something for everyone, from smoked salmon and champagne (which was lovely) to cereal. The setting of being on the terrace with the fantastic view was great.

Staff are very attentive and extremely helpful.

Old Town Dubrovnik is, as other reivewers say a 15 min walk away, which is very scenic (and on an incline on the way back). The hotel offers a free shuttle service to & from the Old Town for guests, when we were there they were every hour on the hour, we didn't use them so can't comment any further.

The small points that prevented this being a 5 was the TV wasn't working when we arrived and the ariel had to be replaced. 2 of the electric sockets didn't work, and the mini bar isn't refilled automatically, you need to request a refil, which I wouldn't expect of a 5 star hotel.

As you walk into the hotel lobby, the first impressions of this hotel are that is is modern, chic, spotlessly clean and with fantastic views over the Miramare bay. This theme continues throughout the public rooms and the hotel bedrooms.
The hotel clings to the cliffside, and is split over 5 levels, with the reception and restaurant on the top 2 floors and the bedrooms on the 3 floors below.
I think we had a standard bedroom, which was a little on the small side for a hotel of this class. The room was quite long, but narrow, so there wasn't much space between the end of the bed and the bathroom. Strangely there weren't any drawers in the room, so we had to stack all our undies etc on a shelf.
There was a small glass fronted balcony, which gave us a lovely view out over the bay.
I won a trip to this hotel through work, all expenses paid, so I'm not able to say whether it presents value for money. We stayed there for 2 nights/3 days, which was perfect. In order to stay longer you would need to guarantee better weather so you could use the beach. (We stayed mid Sep and the temperature was low 20's and quite windy).
Other than breakfast, we only ate once in the hotel (lunch). The food was very nice: lots of variety; freshly prepared (the dishes were constantly topped up); and all well presented.
The hotel was a 15 min walk from the Old Town, which was Ok on the way there when it was all downhill, but it would be a bit of a trek back if you had kids in tow.
Overall, we had a lovely time and my gripes are really only minor ones.

Just stayed 1 night in the 5 star Bellevue for what I though was a very reasonable rate of €228 B&B for 2 persons with a free upgrade to a room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful adriatic and only about a 12 minute walk from Old Town of Dubrovnik but yet peacefully hidden away from the hoards of tourists that were there.

THe Hotel Lobby had an amazing view as you entered to check in. The hotel was always quiet with not too many people around at all. Have to stay that all staff were incredibly friendly and some quite funny as well! Room was lovely with excellent views - I actually think all of their rooms sea facing with spectacular views. Glass lift looking directly out on to the ocean. Room was quite small but did the job. No tea/coffee making facilities or ironing board which suprised me but nevertheless the room was very technologically orientated which was cool. Lovely comfy bed and cosy bathroom.

Had their own private beach which was perfect and beach bar/restaurant. Also used their indoor swimming pool which was like an infinity pool which joined the sea! Had the pool to myself as well as the large jacuzzi. Also had treatment rooms and saunas which I did not use.

Spice Bar was lovely and relaxing with great outdoor terrace for relaxing in. Service was excellent. Had delicious club sambos. Made the best Mojitos ever after those made in Cuba!

Ate in the Fine Dining restaurant that night.

Negatives: Restaurant lacks atmosphere as lights turned up so brightlly. Only 2 other couples dined their that evening so quite queit and more staff than guests! The waiter brought out 1 wrong starter. We did not complain or send back but as soon as he realised his mistake he came straight over and apologised and offer to get the proper starter.

Positives: The waiter who was serving us was very funny and interacted with us on serving each course. We got a lovely amuse bouche from chef before apetizers. Toasted bread served was delicious. Had the tastiest Se Bass ever. For a 5 Star hotel fine dining restaurant I expected tiny portions but this was definately not the case. 2 Starters, 2 Main Course, 2 Desserts, 2 Mojitos and 2 Glasses of wine cost us €120

Breakfast was average. I am very into my Hotel breakfasts and this was dissapointing - small choice, cold cofee,no fresh squeezed juices but fantastic views made up for that. What was there did the job! All eggs on offer and they were tasty.

All in all a lovely peacful hotel away from hustle and bustle of old Dubrovnik but close enough to visit if one wants to. Check out was very efficient and staff member very professional.

Would definately use this hotel if staying in Dubrovnik or I would not mind checking out its sister hotels - Dubrovnik Palace, Excelsior and a few others.

A very modern, clinical hotel, not much character. Service was fine, concierge was very helpful, however the room was quite small for a superior. We stayed for 3 nights and on the third night returned to the hotel around 10pm to discover a live band at a private function playing directly under our window! We tried to ignore it, closed all doors and shutters but could still easily hear it. By 11pm we rang down to reception and was told it was going on until 1am. It finally ended at 1.15am (we know as we were still awake!), then there was an hour of table scraping, etc., as they cleared up. We finally got to sleep at 3.30 am and had to be up at 7.30 for our return flight. Total lack of consideration for guests, was obviously not the first time they had held such a function. Also the beach was very small and the hotel is much further from the old town than is advertised. Would avoid at all costs.
