“Wonderful 'Boutique' Hotel”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

This hotel was absolutely perfect for us. From the moment you enter the air conditioned lobby to the moment we sadly had to leave, we were perfectly catered for. The greetings are warm and genuine, the rooms are cool and relaxing.

The great thing about this hotel is that every room is sea facing so no quibbles about the view :-)

Access to the beach is via the lift - saving your legs on those stairs!

The breakfast was extremely fresh and tasty as you would expect from a hotel of this standard and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Service is attentive without being over the top and all the staff are so friendly and helpful.

The concierge was wonderful every time we used it - very resourceful and made organizing trips and activities a breeze.

The rooms are clean and tidy with a good size bathroom and plenty of toiletries. Beach towels are provided so no need to worry about that either.

As with all of Dubrovnik, the prices are very reasonable so sitting by the beach and drinking beers or cocktails is a luxury everyone can afford.

It is a short walk fro the old town but we enjoyed that - enough to get away from the 'busy-ness' and a pleasant stroll along the clifftop road with great views to enjoy en route.

If you're looking for a quiet, friendly chilled hotel then this is perfect - can't wait to go back :-)

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bellevue. Situated about 10-20 mins walk from the town centre (there's a bit of a hill so it's faster on the way down) it overlooks a natural bay which is used for swimming and the views are breathtaking. Service is excellent - all the little touches such as a little plate of fresh fruit and nuts in the middle of the day, the manager makes sure to greet everybody personally, and they realised it was my husband's birthday and sent a cake! Food throughout the hotel is good too and the bar staff made me some excellent non-alcoholic cocktails. If I went back to Dubrovnik I would stay here again, no hesitation.

Minor things to look out for - sea location means mosquitos, especially if you leave the balcony door open. We killed a lot of them and still got bitten - take insect repellent. Also, the hotel is beautifully air-conditioned, which is a joy when it is really hot outside. However, once or twice it was a little bit too cold, so pack an extra layer.

Room Tip: All rooms overlook the bay. A balcony is worth having.

We stayed in Hotel Bellevue for one week June 2014. This hotel is so relaxed and quiet. It has a beatiful location not far from the old town in Dubrovnik, and has a stunning view of the see and the island Lokrum. The very first second we arrived at the hotel, we really felt privileged. A super nice receptionist welcomed us, and she informed about the hotel and facilities.
There is a combined public and private beach far down from the hotel, and this is accessible via the hotel elevator. There is also a spa with indoor pool and saunas. The receptionists in the spa are so polite and nice.
Breakfast is so rich. You can choose from a variety of high quality food, but you can also order from menu free of charge. Every morning we ended our breakfast with a glass of sparkling wine.
The day of departure, we had a very late flight, and when asking in the recpetion she said the hotel was at our disposal, and we had full acces to the spa and beach until leaving.
I will honestly and highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Every room has a stunning view, but beware to book a room with balcony.

The Hotel Bellevue is a real gem, sitting on the cliffside of its own bay just a fifteen minute walk from the old city.

I can't praise this hotel enough. On arrival they knew exactly who I was when I walked through the reception door, sorted out a lost baggage problem brilliantly ( many thanks to Ivana on reception) and provided the sort of service that makes a good holiday a memorable one.

Our room was tucked in the corner of the hotel on the first floor and was one of the few that did not have a balcony. However the sea view was perfect, the daily maid service and turn down service (including chocolate every day) excellent, and the attention to detail impeccable.

Breakfast ( served on the fourth floor with amazing views) catered for all tastes and we chose a mixed omelette cooked fresh most days as they were so good.

The proximity of the hotel to the old city is brilliant. You can choose to walk down (15 minutes) or take any of the buses ( turn right out of hotel and walk down to the traffic lights where the bus stop is. The buses are very frequent and a Dubrovnik card gets you 20 bus trips and entry to the city walls and museums - well worth the money.

There is a little shop about 30 metres from the hotel ( on the left down the hill) that sells water and other things, and if you don't want to have lunch at the hotel there are a couple of cafes/pizza places up the hill on the left ( we ate twice at El Torro).

The concierge service in the hotel is spot on and we booked two trips - one to Korcula and the other to Montenegro.

Great Hotel. Recommended

We loved this hotel. We had booked a classic room sea view and upon arrival had been upgraded to a suite. There was a vase of fresh roses and a welcome plate with a little fresh fruit, nuts and preserved orange rind upon arrival. We had a gorgeous view of the private beach and the Adriatic from the deck outside our suite. The beach is beautiful. There is also a lovely indoor pool, spa and a wellness center. It was so nice to sit on the deck outside our suite and just enjoy the view. This hotel is a convenient two bus stops from the Pile Gate in Old Dubrovnik. Because we were checking out early to catch a flight home and would be too early for the hotel breakfast, the staff prepared breakfast to go boxes for us with fresh fruit, yogurt, pastry, a sandwich, etc. They also arranged the taxi to the airport for us. Although this hotel is not inexpensive, it is well worth the splurge. We highly recommend this hotel!

Great Hotel - superb beach - not rocks coated with concrete but a real beach with an elevator coming down the cliffs from the hotel above. Excellent restaurant serving very well prepared food in a beautiful atmosphere.

Many of the hotels in Dubrovnik are quite large and to me they look like package holiday specials - Hotel Bellevue is a 5 star property that really feels 5 star.

The staff are excellent and can't do enough to help. I love the location a very easy walk to the old city, but when you are in the hotel itself total tranquility.

I am also a fan of Vila Dubrovnik, but when you compare the price it's hard to beat Hotel Bellevue.

Room Tip: Most rooms have Balconies but a few do not, it is nice to have a Balcony.

Absolutely stunning place. You walk into the lobby (top floor) and look down at gorgeous water, rocks and a beach which the hotel has access to. Then you take the elevator down to your floor and step onto your balcony for the same amazing view. Then you take the elevator down to the lowest level with access to the beach! There is a cave you can swim into and jump off multiple rocks!

How could I forget the food? Amazing free breakfast and dinner/lunch is fresh and delicous. Just don't eat at the restaurant by the beach. It's a different kitchen from the rest of the hotel. We ordered a salad with tuna and it came with tunafish!

The spa is great with an infinit pool overlooking the ocean and a hottub! We napped there every afternoon.

Location is great... 2-3 km from the Old City... we walked there the first day and then cabbed it.

Stay here for the views, beach/water and food.
