“Outstanding place in incredible location”
Reviewed 28 December 2009

We stayed at the Bellevue in early July for a week, followed by another 3 nights at the end of July. The hotel has nicely appointed rooms all looking out over Miramare bay. The staff were very friendly and helpful and loved our children. The food was excellent. I also had a massage and a facial in the spa and loved it, the spa area with pool is very nice. I disagree with the other reviewers regarding their disappointment wiht the lack of an outdoor pool, as the beach is so lovely and the water so wonderfully clean that a pool is really not sorely missed. The beach and the setting of the hotel are really its high point. It sits at the top of Miramare bay looking out over the sea and has a nice litte beach, which can however get crowded when the school kids come down in the afternoons ( as it is a public beach). The walk into the old city takes 10-15 minutes and is pleasant. We loved it so much, we booked an extra 3 nights at then end of our several weeks in Croatia, before flying back to the US. If you want a Dubrovnik cultural experience and a beach holiday in an elegant setting, all at the same time, then this is the hotel for you. We will surely return.

I travelled with my sister and niece for 4 nights. This is a lovely stylish hotel, the staff friendly and helpful, breakfasts amazing, views stunning and the rooms tastefully furnished

It wasn't too far to walk into town for dinner. but we took taxis back due to the awful weather. It is probably a bit too far to walk back up the hill in your high heels anyway girls! Taxis weren't too expensive but we split the costs in three. It would be if you did this every evening.

It rained for two days out of three so the spa leisure pool was welcome. The decor is beautiful, but I would think this could be crowded at busier times of year. Only about 6-8 lounges around the pool. The beach is very nice, but the beach restaurant /bar was closed. I think we were probably a week too late.

For a refurbished hotel the gym is disappointing with only a few pieces of very basic equipment.

We took advantage of the hotel/airport taxi service and were met by a very smart and courteous driver . This was very reasonable, reliable and luxurious.

This is my second visit to Dubrovnik and would definitlely recommend this hotel and beautiful city.

A really nice hotel, excellent staff, perfect location, fabulous swimming pool with big window looking out over the sea. 10 minutes walk from the old town or get a bus at the end of the road. Has its own private beach which we didn't get to use as it wasn't warm enough in April. Lovely spa treatments too.

Fantastic location, with stunning sea views from our balcony. Excellent service from helpful staff. We were only there for 48 hours, so with sight-seeing we didn't manage to make use of all the hotel's leisure facilities. However, we did take advantage of the private beach, with amazingly clear blue water and 24 degree water temperature. Only negative comment would be the cost of wine at the bar - £10 per small glass! Breakfast was very good, and terrace restaurant made the most of the great views. Would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful and accomodating. They were friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The location of the hotel is fabulous - walking distance to Old Town, but in a quiet, beautiful setting with access to a private beach. The pool had a tremendous view over the Adriatic Sea. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. One downside, not a great room service menu for kids. Other than the complimentary breakfast and the beachside restaurant, you would probably choose to go out, but that is the fun of being so near the city anyway.

Lovely place. not amazing but lovely. cant really complain about much in particular - though for the money i have stayed in better hotels. does have alot of character though and staff are friendly. Its not by the old town so you have to take cabs for 50 kunas every time you want to go in which is a bit of pain.

Would highly recommend Hotel Bellevue for your upscale week in Dubrovnik. Perfect location, within close walking distance to city center. Great amenities - the spa is very nice. But more than anything, there is the view. I would pay twice what we did just to sit on the deck and enjoy that view each morning.
