We stayed for a week sept/oct. Excellent location if you want to get away from it all - bus into town takes only 30 mins or so, though can be crowded. Hotel has its own private indoor pool and jacuzzi and beach, with residents having free access to beach and sun loungers. Beach is rocky but there are bathing platforms with steps to facilitate access. The view is fabulous and each room having a sun trap balcony and herb garden is a nice touch. The sunsets were spectacular. Room was average, clean, with a very large comfortable bed, though the décor could do with a touch up, especially in the bathroom. As others have said, the less mobile may struggle getting in and out of the shower.
We were on half board - there was plenty of food, though it was a little bland for my tastes. However, the hotel seems to attract an older clientèle, so this may explain that. Ditto, evening entertainment was a little pedestrian and 1970-80's influenced, but this is all a matter of personal taste. House wines are all local and are fairly well priced - the white in particular was very drinkable for the money. Staff were at all times helpful and attentive, even when obviously busy or harassed, their staff training must be excellent. Overall, we were very happy and would recommend.More
