We stayed for 2 nights in late May and found the hotel furnished to a very high standard with everything you need. We had a room with a breathtaking sea view balcony (worth the extra money). The hotel has 3 swimming pools, two of which are right next to the sea.
The main downside was the quality of the breakfast although there was a good variety the quality was not
up to 4 star standards.
Lapad (the are where the hotel is located) is not within walking distance to the old town and the bus ride resembles rush hour London!
The hotel restaurant is good for lunch but we would recommend “Eden restaurant! For dinner (15 mins walk).
Overall we would recommend this hotel.

May 2010 Saw me and my girlfriend return to the Neptun after a perfect holiday there in May 2009. I returned with a little trepidation that last year's experience would be unmatchable, I needn't have worried, in every aspect the Neptun proved absolutely fantastic.

From the moment we arrived every member of staff we had any contact with was very friendly, from the porter to the ever friendly reception staff to those in the restaurants and even the owner!

The hotel is set a short bus ride from Dubrovnik's historic Old Town which is ideal, buses are frequent and cheap and the hotel remains secluded and picturesque with its own bathing area straight into the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic.

Breakfast is amazing, a massive variety of fresh and tasty food to suit all tastes, cold platters of meats and cheeses, cooked breakfast items, fresh breads and toast, yoghurts, fresh fruit, everything imaginable.

The hotel has a variety of restaurants and bars, I can recommend Restaurant Zoe for both a lunchtime light meal and a more formal evening meal. The beach bar serves superb cocktails, their frozen strawberry colada is ideal on a warm day by the sea.

I have stayed extensively in hotels across Europe and the US and have never been made to feel as welcome as I did at the Neptun, nothing was too much trouble and everyone genuinely wanted to make your trip enjoyable.

Needless to say I shall be back!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Neptun, having stayed there last May. Our concerns that the the second trip might not live up to our perfect stay last time were gone the second we walked into the lobby! The reception staff who had been so helpful and welcoming the first time, remembered us from a year ago and our loyalty in returning was rewarded by being treated like royalty the whole time!
Breakfast in the Restaraunt Mediterraneo, and dinner at Restaraunt Zoe were excellent as before, and the new infinity swimming pool was a lovely suprise (in addition to the existing sea-side adult and child pools). We can recommend the spa centre for massages after a swim in the crystal-clear sea, or one of the variety of full or half day excursions around Dubrovnik and over the borders, which the hotel helpfully organise for you.
The hotel is in an idyllic locaction, with excellent facilities, but the staff who are so eager to please really make the Neptun exceptional. We will definately be back!

excellent bus links, low key but incredibly helpful staff, rooms not huge but more than adequate, lovely sea views, quiet. only negative was the food but that applies to the whole of Dubrovnik.

Booked Hotel Neptun the day we arrived in Dubrovnik on a non-refundable booking deal at a great price of 65 euro. At arrival in the Hotel we were re-directed to another part, more luxury part of the hotel, without any explanation. We got a luxury room with Sea view for the same price. The reason probably the Neptun hotel is booked a lot by travel agencies, so rooms probably are booked full. Breakfast is buffet with a lot of choices, personell is very friendly. Good and cheap bus connection down-town
