Owner description: This 14th-century church and monastery contains a pharmacy museum and a world-renowned collection of ancient manuscripts.

Enjoyed a couple of hours here during our visit to Croatia. The courtyard was beautiful and made for some great pictures between the flowers, the interesting architecture, and the interplay of light with the stone. The pharmacy isn't huge, but it's interesting to visit and think about how medicine has (or hasn't!) evolved since the pharmacy was built. There are some interesting artifacts throughout the monastery. Certainly worth a visit as you see the various sites in the old city.

Situated just to the left of the inner Pile gate, it is easy to miss. It is lovely and cool inside, and very peaceful. There is not a great deal to see, but is still interesting. It houses the world's oldest working pharmacy, 700 years old.
See http://www.dubrovnikcity.com/dubrovnik/attractions/franciscan_monastery.htm for a lot more info.
The entrance fee was kn30, not very much at all.

The only reason to go here is the paucity of sites in the old city. Frankly, another hot cocoa in one of the cafes would have been a far superior experience.

Dubrovnik has so many places to visit and one of them was the Franciscan Monastery. To me the highlight was the cloister. Another interesting part was the exhibition of the old pharmacy. The Titian painting was beautiful, and there were other several pieces of art in the expositions, mainly metal work
