“An overall great experience”
Reviewed 22 November 2013

Villa Iveta is an old mansion in the old part of Dubrovnik, really close to the city walls. It has a beautiful garden, and a sort of decrepit charm. The rooms are simple but clean, and the hostess is amazing, very helpful and nice. You don't have a lot of steps to climb to get there (unlike most apartments) and it is really quiet. It's perfect for someone wanting to be close to everything without spending a lot of money.

A group of eight friends stayed here on a recent trip to Dubrovnik. The Villa is close to the Old Town, but up the hill, so very quiet. The views from terraces are amazing. The rooms are large and comfortable. Our room had a bath on the hall, but it was private, just for us. Like most places in Dubrovnik, it is up several flights of steps. One friend had the suite with the kitchen so we made made lunch there and enjoyed it on the terrace. (Wifi is free.)

Room Tip: The best rooms have a view of Old Town and the Adriatic.

What a great location, just a 3 minute walk to the walled town and right in the old town. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. It is actually an old family home with a beautiful view of the water. The room had air con although the wifi didn't work in our room. We had a bathroom of our own which wasn't in the room but in the same hallway.
There are a lot of steps to reach the hotel so be aware of that.

A stones throw from the old town very close to the Hilton. Has everything you need and a very charming host. Very clean and beautiful house with a lovely terrace, old features and a rustic "home-stay" feel. Would recommend to couples and friends who want to stay somewhere peaceful but close to the action.

Room Tip: We stayed in the room on the front of the house which had lovely views and a terrace

Pros: Wifi in room is strong. Everything was clean. Very close to the main gate of old town where the buses are. Common kitchen which is well equipped. Grocery store and bakery nearby. Awesome old school decor (it's part of a family's home). You never see the family as the house is all separated by different doors. Satellite TV with English channels (but only news channels). Patio outside where you can eat breakfast and overlook the old town and sea. There was a washing machine in our bathroom so you could do your laundry. Lots of closet space to hang your stuff. Strong AC. Toiletries provided in the bathroom. Hot showers with good pressure. The girl who showed us into our room was very nice and helpful and spoke great English.

Cons: Your private bathroom is outside your room in the hall. The floor in the bathroom gets soaked because there's a drain on the floor where I think water escapes out of when you shower. The decor may not suit everyone's taste but I really dug it. It was like walking into an old school estate.

The part we stayed in had 2 rooms. We had the smaller room with was a good size. But the bigger room was HUGE and had a dining table and a view of the water. It's pretty expensive but you pay to be close to Old Town.
