My time spent in Dubrovnik was sensational on the whole. The Old Town, City Walls etc all made it a memorable place to visit. But what made the experience even more phenomenal was staying at this particular hostel. In terms of facilities, it had everything required. Good WiFi, brilliant little balcony for chilling, good kitchen/dining area for eating (or playing the occasional drinking game :P) but most importantly a homely, friendly atmosphere which was so important. Central to this were Matea and Dario, the hostel hosts. Couldn't have asked for better! Continually went out of their way to make our time there the best it could be; between providing helpful tips and advice on where to visit/eat to just joining in with the general craic and fun with myself and the other guests, they truly made the stay a phenomenal one. Been interrailing around Europe on two separate occasions now, and easily the most genuinely nice, helpful and fun hosts imaginable! Can't recommend highly enough to visitors to Dubrovnik :)

A few friends were visitng the Old town and stayed here. The hostel is near all the main attractions of the area. It's affordable, clean, central and hosted by a lovely young couple. What more could you want from a hostel!

This hostel is a hidden gem in Dubrovnik's Old City. There is a great balcony area in which to meet others and to chill out with a book/beer. The kitchen area is also excellent with fridge/freezer and free tea/coffee for guests. Plenty of electrical power points in my 4 bed room and beds very comfortable! WiFi always very good too! For me, what makes this hostel is the 2 owners, Matea & Dario. A continual smile on their face was very endearing and set the tone for my day! They were very helpful for whatever you want to do and always went out of their way to help others. Great people. Great hostel! I will definitely be back!

If I was reviewing this having only visited Dubrovnik, there would probably be a further star in the rating. However, I came here at the end of a trip that included stays in a few other hostels in Croatia and in comparison this place was very expensive for a very average experience. The dorm rooms are tiny - there isn't room for 6 people, especially if people don't put their luggage in the lockers. It was possible for maybe 3 people at most to stand in the room which made getting ready in the morning interesting. There were also very few plug sockets in the dorm, which isn't really good enough any more. A few extension leads were there but they don't help much if you're on a top bunk. The shower rooms are tiny, I'm not a big person but getting in and out was a squeeze. I didn't get sleep either, although that was mainly because someone staying kept turning off the AC and opening a window which was just noisy. The common area/kitchen also closes at 10PM which wasn't great seeing as I was traveling alone and this made it hard to find anyone to go out with.

Dubrovnik is just one big rip-off so maybe 3 stars is a bit harsh, but I definitely didn't feel I got my moneys worth. The staff on the other hand were great - very friendly and full of information, they were far from average. The problem is that I spent twice as much per night to stay here than anywhere else in Croatia and got nothing more than a pokey room and uncomfortable bed.

Excellent location. A little hard to find mind you so remember the street number! (17). Nice balcony area for meeting other guests/playing cards etc, small but well equipped kitchen (freezer included) and common room downstairs with free tea and coffee all day. Staff were excellent and very friendly. 8 bed dorm had an AMAZING view over the Old Town, many powerpoints. Large ensuite bathroom. Wifi poor in dorm but excellent elsewhere. Not a crazy party hostel as balcony etc are closed at 10pm.
