In the case of this church, they've done something right. Both inside and out it's very attractive, particularly inside where the friezes really tell something and you get a real sense of the Counter-Reformation ideology that really inspired this. It's beautiful but also historical and tells a story, both of the time it's from and of Dubrovnik, and is well worth a look. The grotto is quite exceptional in this sort of thing and a nice touch.
