my friend and I came back from this amazing place about two weeks ago and I have been dreaming of it ever since. I have never been to such a fabulous hotel with such amazing views, great food, kind staff and a really welcoming atmosphere. I have stayed in five star hotels around the world and this was the cheapest yet the best! It is in the most stunning location, it is lovely and quiet at night yet not far from the city - a bus taked about 15 minutes and goes to and the old town from outside the hotel. The photos of the sunset, the sea. the pools - they don't even do it justice, it's better in real life. I look forward to coming back soon and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking perfection.

Had a lovely honeymoon stayed here for 9 nights. Can't fault the hotel - it was in a perfect spot tucked away from Dubrovnik centre with the already large crowds of tourists coming in on cruise ships. Lapad also much cheaper restaurant and drinks wise with plenty of choice.
Number 4 bus stops outside hotel and goes direct to old town centre very regularly. Would recommend buying Dubrovnik card from hotel for multiple bus use and museum entries.
Wouldn't recommend the Aquarium...maybe we are spoilt in the UK?!!
Croatia is beautiful and daytrip to Montenegro definately worth it too.
For taxi service to and from airport use Tomislav (www.taxiservicedubrovnik.com), bargain price, very friendly drivers, excellent service.
Top tip - if there are only two of you don't order a jumbo pizza from mamma Mia restaurant in Lapad. Tastes amazing but is epic - eyes way too big for our tummies!

We stayed here for three days, having booked through travel republic and we got a splendid half board deal. The hotel is enormous as it appears they hold many conferences. However, it still has the feel that they care, which some business hotels lack. The style is minimalistic but very tasteful. There are tons of staff who all speak excellent English and this makes life very easy. The rooms are clean & modern. (even the tv is mostly English with subtitles in Croat). We had a sea view with balcony, but I think all rooms were facing seaward. The sunsets are spectacular. Transport to the town is easy with the bus (No.4) departing every 20 mins from outside. It also runs until 1a.m. so you can have a late meal/drink in the town. The restaurant is huge and also has superb views. The choice is almost as vast. I'm sure you will find something to fulfill, The town is a feast of medieval building but make sure you have comfortable shoes. There's a lot of walking. I guess it could get very very busy during peak holiday times. We had a fabulous time & hope you do too.

This is a large hotel, but been slightly off season (May) it was very quiet, the hotel is at the end of a road but strangely had no large sign on the building like I would have expected, only a sign about shoulder height on a wall which runs parallel with the road so is not easily visible. Once you walk through the glass doors into reception you see the huge glass windows giving the fantastic sea view which is repeated in the dining room and bedrooms. The trade off with this hotel is it's location. Personally the 15 minute bus ride was never a problem and was well worth it for the views and lack of traffic noise but if you want to be in town then this is something to consider. The bedrooms were of a decent size and, like the rest of the building, kept spotless by the friendly staff. the aircon worked quietly and efficiently and the balcony was that bit more private by the sloping concrete sides meaning you were not overlooked. I also liked the free safe which was a good size and big enough to take SLR cameras and i pads. The bathroom had a good powerful shower which was centrally positioned over a bath, however the bath had one of those glass screens which admittedly is more hygienic than mouldy curtains but I had to tone down the power as the water goes all over the floor, I got better at it as the week went on but still had the occasional soggy floor.
The breakfast was good but due to a lack of any information about evening meal menus and prices we ate out every night.
I can't really add much more than what has already been said about this hotel but what I can say is that we were more than happy with our stay and would stay there again. Dubrovnik is a lovely place and the Croatian people are friendly and helpful. I would recommend a cable car visit to the museum and learn a little about the homeland war, also a trip to the island of Lockrum which has lots of little places to sunbathe off the rocks in total peace and quiet, and a well run restaurant with a guitarist playing away in the background, but if you have small children with buggies the terrain is very rocky and you will end up carrying both.!

We opened the curtains each morning and said this! Everything about this holiday was heavenly. I can't elaborate much more on what has already been said by other reviewers (and please ignore the one or two negative ones). This hotel is out of the world, the staff were A* always helpful, polite and welcomed you morning, noon and night. The pool area was spotless, loads of beds, towels and sun umbrellas. Yes, there are corporate clients (lucky people) what 5* hotel would not but we were not treated any differently. The breakfast caters for all nationalities, superb. The local bus is just like your personal taxi, buy your tickets on the bus or at the hotel reception. It stops right outside and drops you next to the Old City Walls - runs I think every 15-20 mins, very regular anyway.
We were six ladies celebrating a Big O Birthday, sun, sea, snorkling, diving, shopping, sightseeing and dining. And if you want a real treat ask for the male masseur - you will dine out on the story for a long time!
Please visit Croatia, once been you will want to return.

We were two couples with two rooms. Both on the top floor (ground level at reception).

Wonderful hotel and staff. Beautiful and immaculate facilities.

Can't fault it. Thank you.
