Really nothing much to see. Unless you like sitting on a bench and watching the sea, or sifting through cheap souvenirs...

Took the local boat from Gruz to Kolocep, and it took about 35 minutes to reach the island. The harbour is really beautiful and the water is clean and fresh. Not so many people when we went there.

Our first island visited and we loved it! The island is very peaceful with a small beach area in the main village although please not the main hotel has a monopoly of maybe 60 percent of the beach area. Be sure to walk to the second village I think the sea and beach area is nicer and is even more quiet as the tourist boats do not come here had a great meal in the restaurant there fish was smoked in the BBQ infront of our eyes. We even stumbled across a private and secluded cove but I don't want to disclose its location as the fun is in exploring the island and finding yourself if you find it you will not be disappointed

The island is very small, has one large all inclusive hotel, with guards stopping day visitors fron looking at the hotel. The small bar which you come to first after leaving the ferry was very unfriendly, refusing some of the older people on the tour the use of the facilities unless you were going to buy something. This was against all the other experiences we had in Croatia as everyone else we encountered was very helpful to the tourists there.

We only spent about 45 minutes here on the Elaphiti Islands trip from Dubrovnik. It is a very quiet island, I'm sure that when the tours like ours go away it must be really peaceful. We had a walk inland and found a couple of small churches (locked up) and then walked around the harbour area. There is a lovely small bar and a couple of shops, and a large hotel with security guards who won't let you in to have a look around to see if you might fancy staying there some time. If peace and quiet with nothing to do is your thing, then this is heaven, if not then it might be too quiet?
