“Wonderful stay in Dubrovnik”
Reviewed 28 September 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We just returned from a week's stay in this beautiful home/villa situated by the marina just outside of Dubrovnik. The location was perfect as it became our oasis away from the crowds but was just a quick trip by city bus to Old Town Dubrovnik. The home was spacious and the enclosed court yard spectacular. The outdoor wood burning oven was even used for one of the best meals we had on our month long holiday. Anita herself is a treasure, great to work with and accommodating in every way. We would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to spend some time in this part of Croatia. Thanks for everything Anita!

“Amazing hospitality”
Reviewed 25 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Anita's Villa was in a perfect position and size for our group of 6. The garden is gorgeous and just loved hanging out taking in thr scenery.
Anita cooked us a wonderful meal which took her 3 hours and was devoured in minutes.
Thank you Anita for your hospitality it really made our 10 days in Dubrovnik all the more special.

You see photo and think: what a great house; you see the villa with your own eyes and your imagination of how you can speed time there goes out of control.

Villa Anita is a great villa for friends and family. We were a group of friends and we are very satisfied for the house. Anita is one of the best Croatian person that we found in Dubrovnik, she is friendly and helpful for everything (about house, but also about excursions). The kitchen is full of equipments. The restrooms are excellent with their A/C. Probably the bathrooms are the rooms not so excellent in the house, but however very clean and one of 2 has the bidet (for Italian people a salvation). The best part of the house is the comfortable garden with its innumerable sofa and deckchair, barbecue, big table and of course its jacuzzi.

We had a great holiday and we have to thanks also this villa. We were so much in love with it that sometimes we prefer passing time in the garden instead of going to the sea.

“Homely villa set in a beautiful garden”

I stayed in Villa Anita with my mum, dad, sister, sister's boyfriend and my partner for 8 nights. Anita is extremely quick at responding to emails. From start to finish, she was very helpful and friendly.

The villa was very homely with plenty of space for all 6 of us. It is situated up on the hillside so obviously one has to climb a fair few steps to reach the entrance, they aren't steep though.
On the ground floor, there is the open plan lounge/kitchen/dining area and a bathroom. Upstairs offers three bedrooms, a little balcony and a computer area. I must say the WiFi didn't seem to work that well for us bit was slightly annoying, but I think on the computer the internet speed was okay. The kitchen has two fridges which was super handy as we used the smaller one as a drinks fridge.

The outside area is absolutely beautiful. There are all kinds of delicious things growing in her garden such as kiwis, rosemary, blackberries, oranges and mint. The view is just fantastic too.
In the evening of our first full day, Anita and her husband cooked us an absolutely fantastic meal using the BBQ in the garden. We sat outside on the lovely, dark wooden table and bench enjoying the ambiance. It was very special and everyone was very full afterwards I can tell you! It's absolutely worth the money for sure. We ourselves also using the BBQ a few times for al fresco dining at the villa - fab!

Anita also organised a boat trip for us whereby we visited three islands. This day trip was one of the highlights of our stay. We loved it!

One thing to bare in mind, there isn't really a shop within walking distance - you have to get the bus. There is a large supermarket on route towards old town near the port or, alternatively you can head the other way to the marina.

Top tips:
1 - considering purchasing a 7 day Dubrovnik tourist card. It will give you 'free' entrance to 5 museums, 2 galleries and the city walls, as well as 20 bus rides on public transport for one adult and children up to 7 years. The city walls alone cost 100HR (roughly £10) each so it's worth considering. At the time of writing, you can save 10% if you buy online at: http://www.dubrovnikcard.com/

2 - bring decent mozzie repellent spray! When it gets cooler in the late afternoon, the mosquitoes come out in force. Wear trousers/long sleeved tops if they particularly take a liking to you!

3 - the boiler switch is next the downstairs toilet light switch. We accidentally switched it off and couldn't work out why we weren't getting any hot water!

4 - Make an effort learning the basics of the Croatian language - locals appreciated it. A lot of tourists come in from the cruise ships so are only there for one, maybe two or three days so don't bother even learning 'hello' or 'thank you'.

5 - The restaurant at the bottom of the hillside comes highly recommended. The benefit of being 10 mins from old town reflects in the menu prices. The staff are lovely too.

Enjoy! And hvala Anita! :)

We spent a lovely week here, beautiful garden - we ate all our meals outside enjoying the sun and view - and very good location. Only 30 minutes from the airport and a 10 minute bus ride from the old town. The restaurant (which is very close by) is also lovely and excellent value. Highly recommended!

“Beautiful Anita!!!”

We certainly had a wonderful time staying at Anita's. The villa's perfect in every way - location, comfort, space etc

Anita is amazing to planning our whole arrival by helping us arrange transfers - we welcome by her homemade lemonade & lemon cake!! Yummy!!

No doubt our highlight is the jacuzzi after the long day out - Anita was so kind to get it all filled and working for our arrival. I also love my window view from my bedroom into the waters making it so picturesque.

We all enjoyed the bbq meal with local wine- Anita had prepared for us - home made and local it beats any restaurant food we got there. Anita had even fresh lemon, oranges, grapefruit from our own villa garden with fresh mint and Melissa available for tea or juice making!

The villa is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood with a fantastic local restaurant just in front and the bus stop right there too!

I highly recommend her and looking forward to return ..
