We stayed two nights here before our Sail Croatia adventure and this hotel was above our expectations. Beautiful grounds and the most friendly helpful staff we encountered on the whole trip. The lovely man at reception carried our 2 X 25kg suitcases up 3 floors of stairs, with a smile on his face. The breakfast was above standard and the waiters in the restaurant were laid back and professional.
Our room was lovely, heaps of room for our suitcases, good bathroom with great water pressure and a normal toilet! The A/C in our room was a perfect temperature which was great in the 40 degree heat.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to others.

This is a beautiful hotel with fabulous grounds in a lovely area of the city far removed from the main frenetic tourist areas. It is a few feet away from the #6 bus for the Old City. Our room had a huge rooftop verandah which was fabulous. Breakfast is very good with coffee to order which was a nice bonus after weeks of traveling.
Best still is the staff. On our last day, our ride to our next destination (Montenegro) was very late. The very kind and gracious concierge made numerous calls through the morning to find out what was happening, invited us to sit in the hotel (we had checked out already), use the facilities and all in all made a super impression. This hotel seems way nicer than the 3* that it apparently is.

The grounds and the hotel itself are beautiful. The rooms are functional and clean. Breakfast is adequate, but enjoyable and they make great coffee.

On the other hand, the staff could be more coordinated and engaging, rooms could be slightly cleaner (mine was infested by ants) and the breakfast could be a bit less standard, i.e. there could be more plentiful offer of fruit.

That said, I would stay there again.

An excellent hotel. Well located for no.6 bus to Pile Gate (2 mins walk). Comfortable room, plenty of space. Extensive grounds with lots of seats and recliners. Good breakfast. We chose to eat dinner in the hotel on 2 nights and the food and service was good. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

After just one night in a very noisy apartment up the road from Hotel Zagreb, we upped sticks and dropped by on HZ, on the off chance that they had spare rooms. It was the best thing we could have done and it made our holiday! We were very impressed with the staff, all of whom went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. All very professional and friendly.
We found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and aircon throughout the building made for a cool and refreshing retreat away from the heat. A very relaxed environment.
The hotel looks fantastic, included a beautifully maintained garden and a great terrace on which to enjoy breakfast or evening meal, all of which was well presented. Good food at reasonable prices.
In our rush to swap hotels, we had completely missed that "Bar Insomnia" is opposite and we thought we had jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire, but we heard very little noise from the bar (It is just a bar and not a nightclub). Even though the hotel is on the main promenade down to the beach at Uvala Lapad, we also heard very little outside noise from the neighbourhood generally and we slept soundly the whole week! (We were at the back of the building and we actually took a room in the basement which proved extra quiet and cool. We were tucked away past the kitchen & laundry room etc, but it was out the way and we had everything we needed).
I would have no hesitations in recommending this hotel

This was exactly what we were hoping for - a modest sized hotel that knows what it is good at. We stayed for a week in one of the rooms at the back. The room was small but well laid out, perfectly clean and enough drawers and hanging space. There is a little noise but only what we expected as this is a busy holiday area with markets near by. Certainly not enough noise to disturb us. Wifi worked fine in the room.

Location is convenient for the local facilities, no traffic nearby but convenient for buses into the old town.

The staff were all great and gave useful advice so really helped us to make the most of the holiday.

We ate some meals in the hotel restaurant. They had a short menu but dishes we had were all good and served on the outside terrace. Prices were good for a hotel like this. (There are loads of other restaurants all around). Breakfasts were also very good.

This was our first visit to Dubrovnik. The Hotel was very impressive and attractive. Gardens very well maintained. Very Classy looking. This hotels stars of three under rate it. The rooms were cleaned daily and to a high standard. Friends of ours had a small accident in room and it was dealt with immediately and efficiently. Breakfast each day was excellent with a wide choice of cooked and continental items including fresh pastries and cakes. The staff Serjan and his team were by far the best we have come across. They made us feel at home and were always there to help. Now to the best part. The food at this hotel was by far the best we ate in our time in Croatia. The menu although limited, partly due to being out of season was fantastic. There is no comparison. Although I did suggest a good spicy dish. The prices for meals in the evening are very competitive and the service second to none. Please try this hotel. If not more fool you because you are missing a gem of a hotel, that although is in the centre is set back in its own tranquil environment. Ignore all comments regarding night club opposite. We had a front bedroom and never had any issues even with windows ajar. Serjan is an amazing man and a pleasure to meet. We feel he is a consummate professional.
