Stayed at Hotel Aquarius with my husband for a week bed and breakfast. Check in was very quick and friendly. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. A mini bar is also in place in the room. The breakfast at the hotel was simple but adequate consisting of scrambled and boiled eggs, sausages, bread to toast and bread rolls, cereals, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, cheese, meat, juices, tea and coffee. We also ate in the restaurant on 2 evenings and the food was delicious. All the staff were very courteous and would always say "hello". The hotel offered free WiFi which was accessible from the room and communal areas. There is also a computer in the reception area which is free for guest to use. Although there is no pool guests are able to use the facilities at The Grand Park Hotel which is a 2 minute walk away. There's plenty of bars, restaurants, a supermarket and the beach all within walking distance. Dubrovnik Old Town is accessible by the number 6 bus but we never used the bus as we liked the walk into town which took around 40 minutes.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I enjoyed my stay here so much that I am already thinking of booking to go back again next year.

Though the hotel lists its address as Dubrovnik, it is actually in Lapad, a 10 minutes bus ride away. This is both a plus and a minus. The location is actually quite nice and quiet and there are lots of restaurants and other hotels around. On the other hand, you depend on the No. 6 bus to get you to the old city. The bus can sometimes be crowded. The hotel is set back in a garden and is peaceful. The rooms are medium size and not bad. There is no particular view in any direction. However, it's just a 5 minutes walk from the beach and the walk along the shoreline path is very nice. If you do want to be near Dubrovnik and not pay through the nose, this hotel is a decent choice.

Two of us stayed in October. After a full day's travel from England, we were told by the receptionist that there was no record of our booking (which we had booked via Cosmos). Fortunately, we had our confirmation letter with us and were quickly allocated a room after discussion with the manager. We were told to approach reception if we had any questions but every question through the week was met with a blank stare or "Im not sure." There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a sign up banning food and drink!! There was no internet connection and the TV received few channels when it worked at all. The balcony light was missing and the hairdryer handle cracked. All reported but not fixed. When we asked the receptionist to contact the Cosmos rep to confirm our transfer time, we were told three times that the phone was not working despite us hearing it ring. Eventually, someone used their mobile!!
The breakfast was not great and items of food obviously served several days running. The cereals were inedible and there was mould on the tray where the dairy products were displayed.
Needless to say, we never used the restaurant.
It was a shame that the staff let the hotel down in these ways because it is a beautiful place. The terrace is gorgeous and the views from our balcony lovely. Bed was comfy and there was plenty of space, Bathroom excellent and everything spotless. Perfect location for restaurants, bars, supermarket and esplanade.Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Dubrovnik and would definitely go back.

The bed (consisting of a mattress & box spring) was really comfortable, which was a welcome relief from the numerous nights we spent on futon-like beds in other Croatian hotels. Unfortunately, the pillows were awful...unless you like sleeping on a piece of hard rubber. The bathroom was nice and provided very, very hot water. The room was clean with plenty of space to store clothes and luggage. The air conditioning, with separate room controls, worked well. The breakfast was large and varied so there was something for everyone in a pleasant basement restaurant with a separate outside entrance. The location in the Lapa area had many nearby restaurants, bars, and even a beach, and the Dubrovnik Old Town was a quick bus ride away. The major issue we had with the hotel was the very inconsistent staff which had different answers and rules depending on who was on duty. For example, we were told we couldn't change our room by one front desk person only to hear from another that it would be no problem to change and the the other front desk person just didn't want to bother. We were also told that it was okay to enjoy a pre-dinner bottle of wine on the hotel front porch one night while a different hotel staff member told us the next night that we must stop because it wasn't allowed. Tourist information was available or not depending who was on duty. Such inconsistency made for a very frustrating stay for us and others in our party. There must be other hotels in the area which are more guest-friendly.

Pleasant hotel in OK location.
Room reasonable size with good bathroom. Twin beds very small and short (think caravan beds) and pillow like a bean bag. Several minor faults (balcony light not working, balcony furniture fraying, bathroom light flickering) which we didn't report as we assumed they will be put right whilst hotel shut for winter. View of crane from bedroom, but not much noise.
Reception staff friendly and helpful, but staff in breakfast room not so. Breakfast was pretty dire - squash rather than fruit juice and very stale cereals. They would be better off doing less dishes to a higher standard.
Wouldn't stay here again as there were a number of lovely little hotels in the vicinity.
