A perfectly decent 3 star hotel. Good location in Lapad, close to bus stops to the Old Town. Room was huge with a balcony, although be warned that a 'double' bed is just 2 singles pushed together. Service at reception was adequate but not exactly friendly.

Very good for a 3star hotel, not amazing but nothing at all wrong with it. The hotel is about a 10min walk from lapad beaches, Gruz harbour and 2mins from a regular bus to the old town. The location was great for us, gets you away from the crazy busy old town but still close enough, we actually walked in twice. Staff were polite and helpful with any questions. Breakfast has a lot of variety and more than enough. I'm not a coffee drinker but my boyfriend did say that the coffee wasn't great, but that was literally our only bad word to say! Rooms are basic, again it is 3stars, but spotless, and have everything you need.

Hotel Ivka is but a 10 minute bus ride from Old Town Dubrovnik, away from the crowds, noise and circus atmosphere, in a leafy quarter called Lapad. The hotel staff are very friendly and English-speaking. The modern room have decent bathrooms, are reasonably sized with standard amenities. Many include balconies with chaise lounges and some even have sea views. The included breakfast buffet is generous, both as to number of selections and amount of food available. It is easy to fill up for the day- though removing food from the attractive breakfast room is discouraged. The bus is a bit tricky in that the return stop is located a couple of streets away from the stop that takes you to the Pile Gate of Old Town Dubrovnik. But locals are happy to point you in the proper direction- and once you have done it, problem solved! I recommend Hotel Ivka as a very good value. For those driving, free parking is available ; but I strongly suggest taking a bus to Old Town from the hotel , as parking there is hard to come by, and expensive when you do.

Excellent base for cruises, friendly staff, very good value for money, we could leave our car there in the garage for a week, well situated if you want to go to the harbour Gruz. Dinner and breakfast buffets were good , a good choice of wines.

Room Tip: Rooms towards the back are quiet, they are all spacious enough, functional bathrooms.

Hotel Ivka is a lovely hotel located outside the Old Town area of Dubrovnik. We recently spent several days there and found it to be an excellent base without the noise and crowds of the Old Town area.

Our rooms were spotlessly clean and spacious with the added benefits of aircon and free wi-fi. Breakfasts were more than adequate with decent selections of hot and cold food. However, the really outstanding feature for us were the friendly and helpful staff who could not do enough for us. This was right across the board from the lovely lady who cleaned our rooms and always asked what we were planning to visit that day through to Alen in the reception area who was incredibly welcoming and helpful.

A five minute walk down the hill takes you to a bus stop where the number 6 bus runs every ten minutes into the Old Town. The journey itself takes around 10 minutes so it is very simple process to reach the Old Town area.

Our sincere thanks to Alen and all of the team at Hotel Ivka for making our stay so good. We are already planning our next visit!

A friend of mine and I stayed at Ivka for 5 nights in early May. Our twin room (312) with a balcony was spacious, tastefully furnished and very clean. Breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of choices. The staff were kind and very helpful.
The hotel is located in a quiet area (away from hustle and bustle of the Old Town) and only a few minutes from the water front (Gruz Bay/Gruz Harbour) and about 20-25 minutes’ walk from the Old Town or a short ride on the bus.
The only downside was bedding: instead of a proper bed cover you get a flimsy white sheet covered by a tired blanket.

Pros: Good value for money, convenient location, clean and spacious en-suite twin rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast.

Cons: Uncomfortable bed covers.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor are quieter
