This place is GREAT!!!!! The view is amazing - over the bay of Lopud, the town, the old castle and the coastal headlands. This is especially great at sunset, romantic and perfect if you like photography. You have solitude too and greenery around you. Yet, you are only 5 minute walk to a quaint sea front where there are some remarkably good local restaurants with fresh fish. In the other direction you have one of the few sand beaches in Croatia. And that is even before I mention the house! Beautifully restored old, authentic Dalmatian stone house with large and spacious rooms. Perfect for a large family or a group of friends to relax and have privacy. No neighbours to disturb. There is even a separate cottage if you want to separate your teenagers away from the rest of the family. The whole effect is calming. If you are feeling really lazy you can laze around all day long around the pool and terrace. In the evening we enjoyed the BBQ. The caretaker and her husband are lovely and helpful. Their meals were amazing, which are extra but well worth it!

After searching for a Villa in Croatia we cam across the Osland Lopud which we previously did not know to much about. After arriving and enjoying 1 week in a traditional new villa with spectacular views, we had to book for next season and bring more of the family due to size of Villa. What gets you from the start is Lopud is a non motorized island with no cars and with one of the most beautiful hidden sandy beach gems in Croatia. One of a kind and we look forward to meeting the amazing owners and to stay again. Recommend without much thinking.
250 steps straight up from the beautiful promenade of Lopud, the most magnificent view and extraordinary beautifully restored 17th century stone villa appears – all by its self you can enjoy this unique property. It has everything we ever dreamed of having, from spacious , superb comfortable beds, with fabulous view over the sea and the small village / harbor at Lopud, private bathrooms for most bedrooms, with high quality in every details from the beautiful wooden shades to close the doors & windows, to the carefully selected lamps, furniture’s and high quality kitchen appliances and air condition. The exceptional view from most places in the house and outside on the property is a true gem, and where highly appreciated throughout the stay.
The outdoor areas, are excellent, with areas both for shade and sun enjoyment and plenty of space both indoor and outdoor.
The pool was excellent and the opportunity to close the pool area with fence and gate, where excellent when travelling with younger children. The property and the house where perfect for both adults and our younger parts of the family, aged 2, 4, 8 and 10. They all enjoyed the house and the location.
Everything where is easy access and the climb up and down the stairs where great exercise and no problem for any of us. The view and the location made it defiantly worth it.
Nada, the care taker of the property where the most lovely and charming lady, and made the villa feel like a private luxury hotel, and her kindness as well as her attention to details, keeping the pool, garden and the house ensured everything being spotless and perfect. We will forever be grateful and cherish the enjoyable and outstanding dinners and desserts – not to mentioned the croissants, and the good atmosphere Nada and her husband Antun arranged for us all during out stay in the villa.
The option to purchase grocery from Dubrovnik and have it transported to the villa, is a must. We never regretted making the longest shopping list, as we had everything we need of food throughout the stay, and could fully just enjoy the villa and its surroundings and Lopud. The mini market at Lopud, is really mini, and only supplies the most necessary, so the advice of shopping at mainland was the best advice we had for the whole vacation.
We truly enjoyed the stay in the Villa Lopud and hope to return soon, and will without hesitation recommend the villa. We had one of our most outstanding holidays ever here.
