“Great rooms, pricey, but stunning location for a good short break”
Reviewed 28 July 2012

We spent just one night here on our way back from Montenegro. The hotel is slightly away from the city centre, a 70kn taxi ride. We really didn't mind that - it's a VERY comfortable hotel, big rooms, great bathrooms, decent food and a fabulous 'cave bar'. The cave was found whilst they were building the hotel. The hotel is on several levels, making it seem larger than it is. The pool is on a different level to the sea-front. Like a number of hotels in the area, the sun loungers are cramped into a small area, perhaps especially so here. Having spent a week without many other tourists in Montenegro, I was glad that we had just a day of cramped sunbathing here. My advice would be to head in to Dubrovnik Old City early in the morning (like 8 or 9) and come back here in the afternoon. It's not cheap, but I have absolutely nothing to complain about - a very pleasant stay here, looking straight out on to the bay.

We wanted to stay away from the crowds in the city of Dubrovnik and are glad we did at Hotel More. A very peaceful escape, but just a short, inexpensive taxi ride to the city walls. We were celebrating a special occasion, and were greeted with chilled champagne and beautiful flowers in our room on arrival. The room was spacious and had a balcony with a Kodak moment view! The views from the hotel are just breathtaking-nothing but sea, boats and a small island with a lighthouse. The cave bar is incredibly cool - with very friendly bartenders who are more than happy accommodate! We would highly recommend Hotel More and it's delightful staff!

Had a 10-night stay. Room, staff, food - all excellent. All the staff spoke very good English and the 'key people' were better than fluent.
The breakfasts were wonderful. Pretty well everything was on offer but if you had a particular fancy they would get it for you. The kitchen is in plain view - which is always a good sign.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room with a sea view.

I stayed at this new hotel in May and had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and modern and had everything I would expect. Breakfast was very well stocked with plenty of choice. The hotel has a great cave bar and terrace at sea level where you can sunbathe, enjoy drinks or lunch and enter the sea for a swim. The pool deck on the 5th floor is small but there was always a lounger free and the hot tub was great with a view out to sea. The staff were friendly and the location is great. It was easy to exit the hotel on the restaurant level and walk along a scenic footpath to the town centre for drinks and meals. The only thing I would not recommend is the restuarant. We ate in it one night and would not do so again. Slow service and very average food.

Room Tip: Pick a sea view

Stayed here for seven day in April in one of the balcony suites, plenty of room to swing a cat, great views from the balcony, breakfast very good, staff throughout the hotel were excellent and a credit to the management. Close to restaurants and transport to the old city close by

Just came back from a 3 night stay at this great small hotel in the Lapad area. The service was excellent, the hotel is very clean and there's a small pool conveniently located on the 5th floor. The hotel is located a short walk away from the main street where all the restaurants are, so you don't need to eat the hotel restaurant all the time. I would also recommend walking along the pathway along the sea in the opposite direction (to the right as you walk out the back) to a restaurant with magnificent views. The hotel is not walking distance from the old town though, but it's quick cab right away. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back.

Room Tip: Highly recommend upgrading to a sea view room with balcony - the views are totally worth it!

Never having been to Croatia, I undertook an internet review and came upon "Completely Croatia" who specialised in Croatian holidays and they were an absolute gem and should be a first stop shop when planning an itinerary. They in fact recommended this hotel and all their positive comments are reinforced from my wife's and my perspective.
This is a small (35 room) independent hotel in a fairly accessible part of Dubrovnik with only a short walk along the restaurants/cafes pathway bordering the sea to the bus stop, which was cheap and extremely frequent. It has its own beach area, restaurant, wellness centre and cafe, however the two lift arangement took some getting used to and the hotel would provide a problem for those with a walking impediment.
We had an upgrade given to us on our arrival (Room 601) and this must surely rate in our top 5 rooms with its hot tub, 2 bathrooms, jacuzzi/shower, double balcony with bay views, refrigerator, safe, bedroom and sitting area. Yes, all the towels and toilette provisions were provided and replenished on a daily basis. The food was hot and extremely tasty with a wide range of hot and cold foods for the buffet style breakfast, although I had all meals prepared on order.
Normally I would single out two or three members of staff for praise beyond what was expected, however in this case ALL the hotel smiled, spoke, many engaging in pleasantries and senior management coming to say goodbye on our departure in the hotel transfer vehicle.
The Hotel was a good base from which to visit Mostar, Montenegro, Korcula and Mljet, however I was grateful to have planned a "rest day" on days 3 and 6 as the weather was so hot (no I am not complaining"), but this really beautiful area is limited as to what is engaging, apart from the scenery unless you want to swim in clear blue waters, snorkel, jetski, sail, kayak or go up in the cable car.
Let me stop now and state that I would definitely want to stay in this hotel againafter this thoroughly positive experience.

Room Tip: The suite (room 601) is perfect.
